New to D&D? I'm DMing a game for beginners for FREE!

Howdy!  I've got a homebrew story I'd love to run for some new players, set on the Sword Coast from Forgotten Realms.  I don't charge for my games, my payment is the love of the game and introducing people to it for the first (or one of the first) times.  I'm currently looking at Friday evenings or any time on Saturdays, but I'm open to just about any other days but Sundays and Mondays.  Sessions are planned to be between 3 and 5 hours.  Looking for a minimum of 3 players, maximum of 6. As far as the tone of the game, I'd call it a mix between whimsical humor and dramatic seriousness, with each balancing out the other.  I'd certainly never suggest I'm as talented, but if you like Brennan Lee Mulligan's D20 work, you'll probably enjoy my game and playstyle.  There will be proper stakes, a villainous villain, but lots of goofy and quirky fun too.  Canonical lore mixed with my own character and location creations. The Premise:   The year is 1252.  On an island off the Sword Coast called Rystryn, in something between a large town and a small city, a job-posting tacked to a community board rustles a little in the breeze.  It seeks treasure hunters and promises great wealth.  But, perhaps unexpectedly, this particular job posting promises payment even if the expedition fails to find the treasure it seeks.  It lists a date and time to meet, at a nearby inn.  Will you answer this call for adventure? Features: LGBTQ+-affirming world, setting, and story. Contemporary acoustic music as story elements Long-term campaign story Weekly Play Content Warning:   Language, slavery, drugs/alcohol, demons, violence/murder, horror If there are questions, please feel free to message or reply.  The faster we can find a handful of people, the quicker we can start playing.
I'd be down, but i have no idea anything of what I'm doing
Would I be able to join?
I'd love to join, however I don't know the rules and I don't want to be an inconvenience. If you tell me what version of D&D you are playing and what the specific properties of the home-brew story differ from the main rule-set I would learn them before the start of the campaign.
