Essence, the fuel for magic, was mass-produced. That was many years ago
You find yourself in Bastion now, and it's up to you to reverse the apocalypse You find yourself in Bastion now, and it's up to you to reverse the apocalypse
Souls are composed of two parts: Spirit and Essence . When one breaks or is taken out, the whole system breaks apart. Essence, apart from being everything about an individual that makes you who you are, is where the magic within you is located. When Oppeljar found out how to obtain the Essence of Magic and combine it with one's Essence, magic stopped being a gift and became a privilege.
It is 300 years after the Day of Universal Arkana. You find yourselves in Bastion - a small town in the middle of nowhere, where the Arkane-touched haven't yet decided to attack.
We need brave adventurers to put themselves in danger with the purpose of reversing the apocalypse. Bastion will always be back here waiting for you to share your findings and information.
THE TRAIL FOR ESSENCE shares one same world with 2+ other player groups located in different locations within this apocalyptic world. Your decisions and consequences directly affect the world and the factions living within it. About the GM I am a GM with 10+ years of experience GMing, and having run a 6-year-long campaign. I've been the forever DM, have expanded to try out all sorts of games, and am always taking inspiration from Actual Plays, comic books, books, TV series, and movies! Even a weird Wikipedia article may fuel a fascinating session, or inspire me to do an unforgettable voice for the NPC you are going to love to hate. If you want exciting and story-rich experiences that will become core memories, this is the way!

Usage of Safety Tools Some comments from previous players Joaquín His greatest strength is the balance between meticulous planning and a brilliant ability to improvise. No matter how wild our plans get (or how many taverns we burn), he reacts organically without ever breaking the session's flow. Nahuel
I’d say this GM is great at making the world feel alive without overcomplicating things. His pacing is really solid, whether we’re focused on one city or traveling across regions, and things always feel like they’re moving forward in a fun way. Combat is creative and dynamic, and he’s really good at turning situations into something memorable. InkyC4t He's very patient explaining the rules and mechanics of new game systems and taking in consideration his players' preferences. Also he's a lovely person to chat to, so that's a bonus (˶ˆᗜˆ˵)
