Adminny Stuff and Introduction I'll get the adminny stuff out of the way first, then deal with introductions. — Platform: Discord + Foundry Player Count: 4 (open to adding one or two more) Timezone: UK/CET Availability: Weekday evenings preferred. Flexible if we find the right chemistry. Age Range: Late-20s to early-30s — Okay, with all that out of the way... hi there! We're a group of four experienced TTRPG players looking for a DM to take us on our next adventure. The main reason we're searching as a group is because our forever DM rarely gets the chance to be a player with us. We've all taken turns behind the screen over the years, but can count on one hand the number of sessions we've actually played together. Now we're looking for the right person to help change that. Ambitious, right? What We're Looking For We're primarily interested in story-driven campaigns that give characters room to grow, build relationships, and become invested in the world around them. We enjoy: Strong character-focused storytelling, Meaningful roleplay, Memorable NPCs, Character backstories that matter, Party dynamics and relationship building, A balance between player freedom and narrative direction, We're generally fans of "rule of cool." playstyle. The rules matter, and we enjoy learning systems properly, but we're drawn to tables that reward creativity, dramatic moments, and exciting ideas when they make for a better story. That's usually more important to us than heavy optimisation, powergaming, or adversarial DMing. Tone & Inspiration Some of our favourite stories include: Final Fantasy, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Pokémon, Shounen anime in general, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, Fire Emblem, Persona, Tales Of, Smash Bros??? (if you're inclined to throw a bunch of oddball creatures into one setting, we're listening), We're not necessarily looking for campaigns set in those worlds, but hopefully they help illustrate our storytelling palette. We're big fans of emotional storytelling, found family, rivalries, personal growth, epic set pieces, and larger-than-life moments. We tend to gravitate towards worlds with heart, hope, and strong character journeys rather than grimdark misery. If this sounds like the kind of game you'd enjoy running, we'd love to chat and see if we're a good fit. What We Bring To The Table We're not just looking for a DM to run a game for us—we're looking for a collaborator, and we'd like to think we bring quite a lot to the table ourselves. An established group with years of experience playing together, Players who actively engage with character arcs, worldbuilding, and NPCs, A genuine interest in each other's stories rather than treating the campaign as a solo spotlight, Reliability, communication, and a willingness to work with the DM rather than against them, A group that's happy to learn new systems and buy into a setting's premise, Perhaps most importantly, we love getting invested. If you put effort into your world, we're the sort of players who will remember NPC names, quote back throwaway lore details six months later, become emotionally attached to characters you only expected to appear once and thirst over the hot NPCs you put in front of us. ---- Disclaimer: We're not in a rush. We're searching for the right person more than the right game, so we'd ideally like to start with a one-shot or short adventure before committing to a full campaign.
