[LFG][5e] 2 complete beginners looking for a patient DM (one-shot or long-term, GMT+3)

Hi everyone! We're 2 friends, complete beginners (never played before, only heard of the game, would love to try it out), looking for a patient DM to introduce us to D&D 5e. What we're looking for: A DM who's happy to teach total newbies and explain things as we go Roleplay/story-focused games (more into characters and story than heavy tactical combat, but open to anything) Happy to start with a one-shot to see how it feels, with hopes of moving into a long-term campaign if it's a good fit Online via Roll20 Open to joining an existing group with more experienced players too, just asking for a bit of patience since we've never played before! Looking for a free game to start, since we're just trying it out for the first time. About us: Timezone: GMT+3  Availability: weekends, evenings (exact days depend on our work schedules). We're hoping to start sometime after June 22nd, happy to coordinate exact timing once we connect.  Friendly, easygoing, just here to have fun and learn If you're interested in running something for some enthusiastic newbies (or have room in your group), please comment or message us. Happy to answer any questions!
My groups and I would enjoy helping you with this, but the time difference is an issue. I think there is 10hrs between us. I am in California. If we can come up with a time that work's I will get you going. I think the Lost MIne of Phandelver is perfect for you two to start with and learn D&D. Plenty of RP, Tactical, Story and exploration for learning. Session EX: 8pm my time on a Saturday is 10 am your time I think. With this time difference I could only do Fri/Sat after my personal groups. Let me know your thoughts!
Heya, GMT+3 myself, ran a few sessions a while ago with an Owlbear Rodeo/Roll20 combo. I lean heavily into storytelling and always put the group's morale forward, the games should be fun for everyone. I usually do games on Sundays, but we can compare schedules if needed. Feel free to drop me a message!
Check my current game. It is set in a huge city characters can be fighters, wizards, thieves or bards. Think Fahferd & the Gray Mouser or Thieves world. It is set up as a Westmarches style game with each session being complete and it is run with whichever players show up. Using a rumor/contacts system each character will have information. Gam ewill run Thursdays & Fridays at 8 PM EDT. We are restarting this week Thursday & Friday June 18th & 19th, 2026 I have extensive experience as a DM dating back to Chainmail. The Thief's Tale An example of my game mastering a scifi game: Stars Without Number (Space/Sci-Fi) One Shot!
