What is Calypso? Calypso is a long-running homebrew dark fantasy world, now entering its 4th campaign . Three campaigns of history, consequences, and world-shaping events have already unfolded — and what happens in this campaign will echo forward just the same. Blood of the New World is set on a newly discovered continent, isolated from the magic-rich mainland. Bronze Age. Tribal. A sun-hungry empire demanding blood sacrifice. Six factions that do not agree on what the gods want. And a broken moon in the sky that nobody will explain.  Full Campaign Overview For the full visual breakdown — poster, world map, faction guide, setting details, and campaign info — visit the link below:  https://calypso-blood-of-the-new-world.tiiny.site This is a hosted HTML file that gives you a complete visual overview of the campaign: the world map of the new continent, all six factions with their descriptions, racial social dynamics, setting restrictions, and everything you need to decide if this is the game for you. Highly recommended to read before applying. The Setting at a Glance 喝 Dark Fantasy — Brutal, morally grey, genuinely dangerous. Death has weight. Choices have consequences.  Bronze Age Technology — No steel, no firearms. Obsidian, bone, and bronze. Magic exists but is rare and feared.  Tribal & Indigenous Theme — Players start as members of a small tribe on a continent dominated by a sun-sacrifice empire.  Living World — NPCs have survived three prior campaigns. What you do here matters and echoes forward. The Factions (What Your Character Knows) ☀️ The Adobe Concordat — The dominant sun-worship empire. Pay tribute in hearts, or face war.  Coastal Fisherfolk — A quiet coastal village. Their elders tell strange stories about the sea. ⛏️ Kresh-Mar Vault — Dwarven stoneworkers in the desert rock. They sell to everyone. Always have.  The Veyrith — Wood elf hunter-clans in the forests. They despise the Concordat and raid its caravans.  The Umbral Kin — Dark elves on the western landmass. Rarely seen. They call the Concordat's god a thief. 領 The Mawborn — Jungle warbands in the south. Even the Concordat leaves them alone. Species & Social Reality All D&D One species are permitted — but species carries social weight on this continent. Wood Elves and Dark Elves are deeply insular peoples; playing one means living with suspicion from outsiders and possibly your own kind. Dwarves are few and neutral — a dwarf adventurer draws attention everywhere. All equipment must fit the Bronze Age setting — no steel, no firearms. We'll reflavor anything together at session zero. Campaign Details  Schedule: Wednesdays at 8:00 PM Eastern (GMT−5) — may shift to Fridays  System: D&D One (5.5e)  Platform: Roll20 ⏳ Length: ~1 year, long-form campaign 晴 Seats Available: 1 to 2 players only  Cost: $10 USD per session A Note on the Cost This is a paid table — not because the DM needs the income, but because paid games attract players who show up, prepare, and invest in the story. The session cost has been kept to the minimum that keeps quality high on both sides. Comparable campaigns run $20+ per session for this level of preparation and world depth. Interested? Tell me a little about yourself as a player — your experience level, what kind of stories you enjoy, and what kind of character concept excites you for this setting. Session zero is a conversation, not an audition. This is Campaign 4 in an ongoing world. New players are absolutely welcome — no prior knowledge of Calypso required.
