Experienced player looking to game - UK or Australia timezones.

Have been playing D&D on and off for 40 years or so. Most recently been playing 5e for the last 6 years or so, maybe we moved to 5e when it came out - can't remember, anyway. Happy to play whatever class party needs, preference is Paladin or Ranger, never played a Thief actually in all my years so happy to do that. I've played mainly with the same group for many many years but wondered if there was anyone playing in Australia as the people I play with are in the UK and we jump on together my Sunday night. I can be flexible when we play, I do have a young family but as long as its fairly relaxed that shouldn't be a problem. I'm more at home playing the core rules that anything weird or out of control, we tend to keep it pretty 'purest' and definitely no out of control power, magic items etc. We tend to use messenger to chat and Roll20 as the platform, I really am a 'theatre of the mind' player, I don't need a lot of visual, roll 20 is good for Character sheets, dice roll, some automation. Am pretty tech savvy so happy to use another app for voice or video or whatever another group does.

Hey Adrian! Have you considered joining a West Marches styled setting? Post or join games that work for your schedule, build a party or switch it up. With 40 on and off years of DnD and 6+ years of 5e you'd settle in very smoothly. When you're between games it is ALL about text-based RP, we have over 150 members and have hosted over 1,000 sessions since last May when we opened the server. We believe in collaborative storytelling above all else with exciting combats and daring adventure.
