Premise: Forty years ago, the Foundation tore apart the Antarctic Treaty and claimed the western half of Antarctica as its Protectorate in Trust of Humanity. Beneath the ice, shining Neo-Cities shelter millions of civilians. Above, military bases and launch facilities prepare for an endless war. To the east lies the largest incursion of Voidspace on the planet. From this impossible territory come the Gorgons, carried on the Katabatic Winds. Every year Void Taint washes over the Protectorate. Every year suffers the same peak season of activity, the Polar Night. Expectations: This is a character focused campaign set in a semi-isolated military district on the Antarctic coast. Outposts and Neo-Cities provide opportunities to form touchstones, remind yourself who you are. Deployments into the darkness offer opportunities to enjoy a good hurt. The world looks roughly like our own. Think Evangelion with a touch of NASApunk: The future is practical, institutional, and built by people who expect everything to fail. Expect a game that swings between: Mecha drama, Antarctic horror, Toxic yuri, and handler/hound dynamics if not fetishism. The Foundation is an exploitative and often cruel institution. Characters will be disciplined, propagandized, manipulated, and forced to sacrifice pieces of themselves. Consider making a character with: Something to hold onto and Something 'fun' to lose. You might be (and of course these are just suggestions): A Veteran of the Second Antarctic War who remembers too much. A Rebel captured and broken into Foundation service. A Girl who crossed the TransAntarctic Mountains and returned changed. A fresh recruit from the Neo-Cities who still believes the propaganda. A transfer from another part of the world trying to survive the Long Polar Night. Whether transferred into Her command or shaped by Her own hand: Your Girl belongs to Handler-12.
