[LFG] Looking to Bring a Grounded Ranger to the Right Campaign Hi! My name is [Your Name], and I'm looking for a long-term campaign with a group that enjoys roleplay, exploration, and collaborative storytelling. Character Concept Madera "Verde" Verde is a Half-Elf Beast Master Ranger (with a planned Artificer multiclass later in the campaign). Verde isn't a traditional monster hunter. He's a wilderness search-and-rescue specialist whose life's work has been preventing disasters before they happen. He rebuilds washed-out bridges, teaches survival skills, finds lost travelers, maintains safe campsites, and manages dangerous wildfires. In some regions he's known as a Firewarden or Flame Warden , though he never sought the title. His philosophy is simple: "Fire can warm or burn. It's in how you approach it." That belief shapes how he approaches everything. Violence is never his first solution, but he is not a pacifist. If a creature can be avoided, relocated, or driven away, he'll try. If innocent people remain in danger after every reasonable option has failed, he'll end the threat without hesitation. To him, it's not about good or evil—it's about responsibility. His closest companion is Sucre , a massive boar he considers his brother rather than a pet. Their relationship is meant to bring warmth, humor, and personality to the party rather than steal the spotlight. What I'm Looking For I'm hoping to join a campaign where: Exploration and travel matter. NPC relationships are meaningful. Characters have room to grow. Creative problem-solving is encouraged. Combat is exciting, but not the only focus. I'm just as happy spending a session rebuilding a bridge, negotiating with an NPC, or solving a wilderness problem as I am rolling initiative.
