Recruitment status: CLOSED Free/paid: free System: Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition, 1920s setting Who I am looking for: I am looking for 1 (European?) player(s) aged 35+, preferably 40+, for my own long-form campaign. I am looking for people who want to commit to a longer story, help shape the narrative, take responsibility for their characters, and do not need to be led by the hand through the investigation. Game type: long investigative horror campaign, not a one-shot. Massachusetts, 1922. Frequency: on average, one session every 3–4 weeks, without a fixed schedule. On weekdays, sessions would take place between 18:00 and 23:00 (CET); on weekends, other options may be possible. Dates would be arranged as we go, depending on the group’s availability. Tools: Roll20 for handouts, maps, notes, and character sheets; Discord for communication and organization. Tone and style: slow investigative horror, conversations, clues, consequences of decisions, and gradual acquisition of knowledge. Atmosphere, relationships between characters, and connecting the dots will matter more than combat or rules optimization. This will not be a good fit for players expecting frequent action, scene-by-scene guidance, or quick resolution of plot threads. Experience: desirable, especially experience that allows you to engage with the story independently. Prior experience with Call of Cthulhu itself is not required. Familiarity with at least a few Lovecraft stories is preferred. Language: English. Organizational requirements: communicativeness, punctuality, stable internet connection, and a working microphone. Camera welcome but not required. Applications: private message. I would like to have a brief conversation first about expectations, availability, experience, preferred style of play, and whether this campaign rhythm genuinely works for you.
