Working Dads 5e game

Looking for fellow working dads who are interested in gaming around 9pm est (after kids are in bed). Sessions to be 2 to 3 hours weekly, every other week or monthly. I don't mind running but would prefer to rotate.
I've been a dad for quite some time, both are adults now. Haven't played since I was younger and 53 now and wanting to jump in again. Second childhood I guess. Have materials and have been reading but I learn better by doing. Looking for a group to play with on a regular basis after everyone is in bed, that's my time. Would also like to dabble in Daggerheart, Cosmere, and Dungeon Crawler Carl.
Hello Garimon! This may seem like a strange way to approach D&D but personally once I tried it out I was hooked for two years straight so far across a handful of campaigns. We have been working on this project now since May 2025 with no signs of slowing down, I'd love to introduce you to the West Marches style of D&D! The Aurora Point Institute is a West Marches styled campaign that has been running for the last year and a half with over 70 active adventurers. We have an overarching World Story that updates every 2 months with 'World Events' and each chapter ending with a 'World Event Mission' that includes as many adventurers as possible over a series of games played over a weekend usually. Outside of the World Story there are dozens of DM Run Stories & Plotlines throughout the world of Aspirion, the stories interweaving and working together to build a wild and flourishing world for you to explore through an expansive text-rp world. So even if you only have 30m to play during the week you can Roleplay your character interacting with others, purchasing gear, progressing plot points, or just sitting back and enjoying a drink at the Institute's all-inclusive restaurant. A player-driven game listing system allows you to post a game listing for a time and a level that work for you and let others join up! We have games during both AM & PM all week long with investments into both PBP & roll20 + Discord VC as mediums. I think that the flexibility of finding games and roleplaying your character will be a massive boon for your playstyle! You can use our forum post here to navigate to our discord server as you wish!
New player's definitely welcome. Would love to find 3 more people. Aurora I appreciate the reach out but I personally prefer playing with the same group if at all possible. Looking for fellow dads so they understand may need to take a slower pace as the kids take precedence. My 2 sleep through most of not all the way through the night now. Just need a break. All us dads need some me time.
I like that you're open to playing every other week or even monthly. Getting a regular D&D group together as adults can be harder than actually finding time to play, especially when everyone's juggling work and family. A 9 PM start sounds pretty reasonable once the house settles down, and rotating the DM would help keep one person from having to do all the prep. I'd be interested to know whether you're planning a full campaign or something more flexible where people can miss a session without holding everyone else back.
Either one actually Pitersonch. i just put up a listing so if anyone is interested drop a line there. I plan on keeping sessions shorter just to make it a bit easier for folks to play consistently. https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/451467/5-dot-5-dnd-for-dads
