Unable to open token settings via double clicking a token (might be related to D&D 3.5E sheet)

Hey, I've run into a weird bug in one of my games, I haven't seen something like that happen in any other game so I presume that it might be related to the character sheet we're using: D&D 3.5E  Authors: Diana P. & Hoyer The bug occurs both on my regular firefox browser, as well as when I checked it in chrome with all extensions disabled.  Basically, when a token is linked to a character by the "represents character" option, after a certain period of time passes (not sure how long yet), double clicking the token does nothing, and as far as I know there's no other way to open the token settings, which makes certain adjustments fairly annoying to do. I think it doesn't happen to free, unlinked tokens (though it might have happened once, I'm not too sure), which leads me to believe it might be the character sheet's fault. Double clicking the token, whether successfully opening the settings or not, produces nothing in the browser console.  Weirdly enough, moving the token onto any other layer than token layer makes it editable again, but if the token is moved back to the token layer - the settings can't be opened again! Even more interesting, if a token that has become uneditable is copypasted, the new copy can be opened normally by double clicking.  Either it takes a long time for the bug to occur (like, over a week) or something else triggers the tokens' uneditability, I haven't been able to pinpoint any details yet.  The copypaste workaround makes it bearable, but it'd be nice if there's a permanent fix. I'd also like to know if there's any other way to open token settings beyond a double-click.

Hi JtanK! Unfortunately, I can't duplicate this behavior. You've tried most of the things I would suggest, as well. You could try flushing cache and cookies, but since you've experienced the bug in multiple browsers and conditions, my advice would be to capture a Console Log ( Chrome , Firefox ) and send a  Help Center Request .

Hey, I found a way to replicate the bug! It's unrelated to sheets afterall, and I'm pretty certain this behavior is new, because I've never ran into it before. I first noticed it about 2 weeks ago, I think. To duplicate the behavior: 1. Enter any game. 2. Add any token. Double click to check that the settings open. 3. Draw a rectangle/shape with transparent inside, or draw a line tool shape that encompasses the token, or draw a long enough freehand line over the token. If the token is in the back, the settings cannot be opened. They can be selected and moved but unless you move them to the front, or move the drawing to the back, or move the token/drawing elsewhere, the token settings cannot be opened.  Screenshot: brand new campaign, I added a bunch of tokens. All tokens are sent to back or were added before the drawing was made. Green tokens = double click opens the settings. Red tokens = cannot open the settings.  Expected behavior: Drawings should not interfere with the ability to open token's settings, as long as the token is still selectable. I sent a bug ticket in the Help Center.

Shift-click to open the associated sheet also fails under the conditions JtanK describes. It's Z-layering of some sort. Right-click the token and bring-to-front, and you can again shift-click or double-click the token. Note that single-clicking and right-clicking (control-click) are not affected by the problem, and always work. Note: I'm seeing this in Mac Firefox, on a 2014/2024 5E game. One further bit of info: if a player has "always display controlled tokens on top", they aren't affected, even by things they draw.  Which makes sense.
