*Please Read* Tracking Things!!!

I went into some of your character sheets and double-checked to make sure things were properly being tracked -- some of you are fine, some, were not. If I award you treasure, loot, items, this should all be tracked in your inventory of your Roll20 character sheet. If you use a spell that requires a spell slot, a ki point, a prayer, or whatever -- make sure you note that in your spell slots sheet, or elsewhere. I will forget between sessions and then you will end up with extra spells if you don't. This is your responsibility as a player. Also, take 1 ration and 1 pound of water from you waterskin after each extended rest. Belanor (Tam), since you were tracking 24 hours for the Drowning Devils cloth, why don't you just become the " day-keeper" , which basically means you always track the passage of time. This will also be helpful to denote when long rests become allowed again.
Chris (MarIt), I believe because you are new to the Roll20 5e character sheet, you did not remember to note your spell slot used from your animal friendship on the giant bat (and I don't see any addition of silver or gems from the zombie room). Were there any other lvl 1 or above spells you used last session? Could you also go in and add the details of each spell into those slots in your spellbook? Thank you, you rock. Chris (Darvin), with your multi-class into Ranger, you gained more proficiencies that you forgot (or didn't realize) to add to your character sheet. See pg. 164 of PHB. I did this for you (added medium armor, shields, and martial weapon proficiencies) but you still have to choose one skill from the Ranger's list to become proficient in. This is a good thing that I just noticed. I suggest that everyone, at least once between each session, run through their character sheet and double-check things, tidy it up, and question whether everything is as to-the-T as it can be. Blame it on my OCD, but a near-perfectly up-to-date character sheet (down to the copper) makes me a happppppy DM. :)
Thanks Rob, I'll update that for you. The character sheet kept crashing Rolld20 for some reason, I'll update it before we play next week for sure.

I think we can say it's been 14 hours since you received your Drowning Devils cloths. That means it has been 6 hours since your last long rest. That means it will be 10 more hours before the magic cloths can take effect, if you choose. That means there are 18 more hours until you can all take another long rest. To make it simple, at your next long rest, we will combine the timer for the cloths and the timer for the long rests -- meaning, from your next long rest onwards, you will determine whether to keep the cloth or not during long rests (at the same time you prepare spells, for those of you that do that).

I forgot that your character sheet was giving you issues. Hopefully you can get that worked out for the future. If it does happen again though, just make a note of it on paper, or elsewhere, so that you can then update it later on. Thanks! :)
Yup! I had a sheet of paper and wrote it down. I'll transfer it to the character tonight!

I believe the statement in bold is an error. We can take as many long rests as we please. However, we can only benefit from a long rest once every 24hrs (which occurs at the end) PHB 186 . Thus, if we take a long rest 10 hours from now (16 hours since our last long rest), we will be able to receive its benefit at its conclusion (16+8=24 hrs has passed since we last benefited from a long rest). I believe that this 16up-8down sleeping system interpretation makes more sense than the 24up-8down system that you are implying.
I think you are totally right. I hadn't considered that interpretation but it does make more sense. Though adventurers are probably less likely to get their happy 8 hours a day, I think your interpretation is the correct one! Thank you, master Day-Keeper :)
DM Rob, Regarding my character sheet, I added the nature skill as the ranger skill. I had forgotten that at the time but did add it at the start of last session. I saw you added the weapon and armor proficiencies. I'll be more careful to track that going forward. Thank you for the headsup and help!
