Game keeps scrolling itself

Something really annoying that keeps happening I've been meaning to ask for months but keep forgetting. Roll20 keeps scrolling itself around and I spend way too much time fighting it. How do I stop this from happening? It seems to move in reaction to my mouse but unpredictably.
This is going to be a browser issue. It's come up once or twice before in the forum and I believe it boiled down to an add-on messing with it or updating your browser version. https://wiki.roll20.net/Solving_Technical_Issues

But I just downloading Chrome Yesterday. :/ I don't have any add-ons at all and its fully updated. And the same thing was happening on Firefox. I would scroll around, then it would start jerkily scrolling itself then I would have to randomly drag it everywhere until it stopped. But guess then its not something that can be fixed. Probably means its my computer.
Bluetooth or similarly wireless mouse? Check batteries Check keyboard for stuck keys. Beyond that; couldn't say.
Do you have the same problem in any other browser?
yes.
Do you have the problem in just one campaign or all of them? Can you think of anything you're usually doing when it happens?
I right click scroll and it acts like the right click is partially stuck on.
actually, this is usually caused by a browser being set to a zoom level that is not 100%. if you set your browser back to 100% it SHOULD fix the problem. this has been an ongoing issue with zooming since the early days, if in fact that is what is happening. Hope its not something else anyway, because its an easy fix if it is

Michael , could you give a step be step process to reproduce this? When I use the right mouse button to "Pan View" it works fine for me. When I release the button it no longer moves (after a moment of drift where the last motion is completed). The momentary drift behavior occurs at any zoom level where the map is not entirely on the screen. That is just an element of the view finishing it's motion.
So if I move my mouse a lot after letting go it could potentially keep moving around until I stop moving?

No, once you let go the map should continue moving only for a moment until the map catches up to where it is going to be. You could think of it as momentum. You have swiped the map to move it and it is going to move until it runs out of momentum. Moving the mouse without clicking and holding the mouse button should not result in additional movement.
I have this happen all the time. It happens whenever i'm right-click-panning, and let go of the right click when i'm not on the "actual surface", if that makes sense to you. Like, if i start right-click-panning on the map, then move my cursor over to the chat area and let go; every time i move my cursor over the map area it behaves as if i'm still right-clicking. It can be frustrating and disorienting if you don't know what's causing it. But all you have to do is right-click and then let go while your cursor is still over the map area. If you're super zoomed out it can be a particularly irritating thing, because you have to zoom-in, fix it, and then zoom back out. But it's not difficult to work around, once you know what to do.

I understand what Billy is saying and it has happened to me a few times also. It acts like I clicked and held it even when I did not do that. I found out that with my wireless trackball it was weak batteries but with a corded mouse it was me release the drag when not on the map area itself. The easiest way to reset it is just to click and release the map in the map area. I've done it randomly with tokens and maps.
Alright, thanks.

Ok, I was able to reproduce this (thanks Billy Redd). If you right-click to pan and the mouse winds up in the area outside of the map area (the grey border) it may stay in pan mode even after you release the mouse button. To release it from pan mode click your mouse on the map.
