"Tiers" Teaser

I realized that I have some plans for this campaign that are worth sharing. Lvls 1-5: Jixia (Prison, Arium, Tibbar) Lvls 6-10: Kheir (Eastern Paradeux) Lvls. 11-15: Jixia (Aef Isle, Illithia), Kheir (Western Paradeux) Lvls. 16-20: Kheir (Inchor) For reference: http://www.robjyayac.com/cartography.html Maybe this gives you some idea of why I ask for your character's goals -- don't think I'm ignoring them, just know I have long term plans. :)
So this is what we can expect the campaign to be based on xp wise?By the time we escape Jixia and get back to Kheir, we will be level 6?
This is something I've envisioned, however, nothing is set in stone. I want it to be sandbox-play, which I think I've executed so far. Now at level 3, though, I'm not sure if you're halfway out of Jixia. Maybe we'll have to expand it Lvls 1-9: Jixia (Prison, Arium, Tibbar) Lvls 10-19: Kheir (Eastern Paradeux) Lvls. 20-29: Jixia (Aef Isle, Illithia), Kheir (Western Paradeux) Lvls. 30-39: Kheir (Inchor) Epic Tier play, baby! Hahaha
God Tier
Maybe we all retire and recruit new characters when we get past 20
Rob said: Maybe we all retire and recruit new characters when we get past 20 That's another thought I had. Or implemting some sort of "die and go back a level with your new character rule" after everyone hits lvl 10.
So when you say epic tier, do you mean you want to implement the epic destinies or whatever from 4e? Cause those sounded like they would have been alot of fun.
I didn't play much 4e so I'm not sure what those are, but I'm loving the game so I'm down for anything all of y'all want!
The highest level character I've ever had was around 12, so I have no experience (or say so) in the super high level stuff. I've always been more of a street level guy (like spiderman) Vs. a cosmic guardian of universes (like green lantern corps) but that's just a personal opinion. I'm along for whatever the hell y'all want to do. I'll write songs the whole way.

I think Rob was just using the term Epic Tier to describe high-level play. I did indeed base this Tier-stlye planning off of 4e's method. One of the few things I found unique and positive about that edition. But we're still a long way from epic anything !
Ok great. That was one of the things i regreted not being in 5e since I never got to play 4e.
By the way, when the 6 of you hit level 4, you're already capable of taking down a Chain Devil, it would be a "hard encounter". I have a feeling you guys are going to get really powerful, really fast, lol. I need to work you guys -- get ready for the big bad boss in the voidbrella guard caravan ;)
AS long as we get to kill Chuck Norris in this campaign and put him in his place, I'll be happy.
I would not turn down a long rest (or two!) at some point. Get some hit dice and spells back.
After the next big fight, if you should succeed, and then gain the voidbrella, and teleport out ... then you can have your long rest :)
