Adult content filter on LfG

With the increasing number of games that have adult content in them I've found that many gm's have rightfully asked that players be over 18 when they request to join. I think it would be in everyones best intrest if in the create a campaign section there was a check box for adult content. In addition to that it would be fantastic if the Looking for Game Section had "no adult content as the default choice" with the option for adult content there after they verified their age.

Seconded. I have heard from people about campaigns and threads posted about adult content being taken down and people being warned. This would not be a problem at all if there was a filter so those uninterested didn't have to look and those interested didn't have to wade through all the normal stuff to get what they were looking for. At the same time that I can see the view of people not wanting young people in games that have content out of their relm. You have to look at it in a rational way. D&D is well established with an older crowd and many of the players started back in the 70s like my uncle. Like my uncle many people wanting to play D&D want the time period experiance which in the time period mature content was not considered mature at all and age of consent was much lower due to lower projected life spans in part caused by the harsh living conditions. It ruins the ambience for some people to limit those things so people who want all that should be able to get together. Just my oppinion though
I like this idea. It doesn't require a sophisticated age verification system just make everyone who wants to play games listed as 18+ fill in an age. If they lie it is on them at that point and not Roll20. I do know that Roll20 takes a stance of "What happens in your game is your business" but that relies on an honor system that could get Roll20 sued.

I wouldn't mind if there was an extra feature on the LFG system similar to this, like the option button where you can find games that welcome new players, why not have a little button that searches for games 18 and over?

Roll20 has said the only campaigns that would receive warnings/takedowns would be if it violates Roll20 Terms Of Service or applicable laws . Such campaigns would meet the same fate whether marked as adult or not, if it violates Terms or laws. If it doesn't violate Terms or laws then I don't believe it would've been taken down just for being adult.
That example not so much but I do think that there are some dangerous liability issues in not having something in place at all. I mean sure I GM can ask for ages in the forum but there is nothing guaranteed about that. If a minor lies to get into the game then gets in trouble by a source outside of Roll20 then Roll20 could get in trouble. Now I won't pretend that I am backing this purely for the sack of this site and I am no programmer but I don't think it'd be too hard to have something like a button in the box when you activate LFG that sets the game to an adults only setting that prevents anyone under the of 18 from even viewing the listing. This would require that everyone set there age in there accounts but that shouldn't be a big deal, I mean it's not like it would be forcing that info into the public eye.

Well at that point there is no room for a guardian of some sort to try and place legal blame on Roll20. I'm not sure a forum post would save them if such a case were to ever arise and I feel like preventing the opportunity with some inconvenience is much better than waiting and hoping it doesn't become a problem and get hurt for it.
