Good evening (morning, afternoon etc.) Lately, I've been having a strong urge to play some roleplaying games that cannot be quenched with my local offline gaming group for various reasons. With this in mind I turn to you, my fellow denizens of the virtual world. First of all, I am fairly new to tabletop roleplaying games. I have maybe 3 sessions of Dungeon World under my belt and that's about it. That said, I do a lot of extra reading, as well as extra watching and extra listening (gods, that just sounds creepy). Youtube shows, audio podcasts, occasional GM-ing blog, forums, subreddits etc. All of that makes me think I know what I'm doing. Dungeon World, being the only system I've actually played for real, I'm pretty comfortable with. SWN, on the other hand, I have no hands-on experience with. I have the free edition PDF that I read a bit to get a feel for the flavour and level of crunch and I found it to be satisfyingly interesting. Turns out, all I wanted all this time is to be a space adventurer. I really hope to scratch that itch in the near future. A bit more info about myself: I am male, 24, Eastern European. I speak English with an accent that I cannot define for myself other than "not stereotypical slavic". I have had no problems communicating with other people, so I guess it's comprehesible. I am okay with using both voice and video chat albeit my webcam captures at what looks like 5 or maybe even lower FPS with a 380x240 resolution, in other words it's pretty shit. It can convey the likeness of my ugly mug though, so I consider it passable. I live in the UTC+2 timezone. My schedule is fairly flexible regarding days but time is a bit more complicated. I can't see myself playing earlier than say 1400 local time or later than 2300. Other than that, I'm glad to adapt to whatever time your group plays at (I understand this might be the toughest part, I've seen few games in the euro friendly timeslots here). Thank you for taking the time to read this post. Looking forward to hear from you Andriy.
