I'm curious now that we've had our first game... Did anyone experience any lag using the dynamic lighting? Also is it a feature you'd like to continue to use as the campaign progresses? There's been a couple great updates to it. One being movement restriction stock would keep a token from passing a line. With that as long as no one is experiencing lag I wouldn't mind turning off the update on drop. That allows you to see what's around you as you move the token. On a big map like the ship you woke on it could lag a little. The other update was global illumination which is nice cause as long as things are lit you can see what's in your line of sight. Anyways let me know.. Its a really cool mentor perk which I'd like to use but even i got a little frustrated with it.

I did experience extreme lag with regard to moving my token. I didn't have any lag with regard to the text, however. The computer I'm using has an integrated (i.e. crappy) graphics card, so I'm sure that's the crux of the issue, as my internet is pretty good (cable with 56 mbps), so I don't think that would be the problem. Edit: Also run my own campaign with mutliple tokens and complex maps, and don't experience any lag, so I suspect it is the dynamic lighting causing the issue for me.

I loaded up a good sized map for you guys to test/play with. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
Okay, I just took it for a test drive. It worked surprisingly well. I experienced minor lag when moving the token (just barely noticeable) but nothing on the level that I experienced during our first game session. Maybe having more people logged on at once makes a difference, or maybe it was just a fluke with my internet connection that night, or something. Anyway, the lighting and path restrictions are extremely cool, so I hope it continues to work this well for me on game day. :)
Also, if I'm still lagging, I could just describe where I want to go and you could move the token for me. A bit of an inconvenience for you, but that way I could still play with the dynamic lighting enabled and work around the lag.

It could be the size of the map and the number of paths.. I'll go ahead and throw you on the big map and you can tell me how that works for you.

Here's a question for you folks.. Who would be interested in doing play by post during the week? It doesn't so much work when there's combat, but it would give you folks more of an opportunity to RP with each other and develop your characters a bit more.
It would depend on the availability and willingness of the others to participate. I'm game, though. :)
As long as we don't do anything turn based over it. My last PbP experience was 3 and a half months to finish a 4 turn combat with 4 party members. It made me swear off PbP forever. But, I'd be willing to do like, character RP stuff, and the like. I can probably post from work when its slow, too, which is nice =)

I had a rule when I GMed pbp, I'd do my best to post 2-3 times a week and if you didn't post by then during combat I'd NPC the actions. Tended to keep things moving a bit more. But I don't really anticipate doing much combat. If we leave off in combat during our session we could either back pedal into a RP opportunity or not do anything that week.

I was wondering last night and a bit this morning: Do you think it would beneficial to add a 5th person to the group?
I don't think it would hurt anything. The difference between 4 and 5 players is negligible, in terms of screen time and placing additional burden on the GM. On the other hand, I'm perfectly fine with the group we have. In terms of character types, we seem to have all the major bases covered, for the most part. I think a really scoundrelly scoundrel would add some more Star Wars flavor to the game, but that's about the only thing we're lacking. It would be fun to have a guy (or gal) that's in trouble with the loan sharks, gambles too much, and likes to take idiotic risks just for the thrill of it or to make a big score. Han Solo/Lando Calrissian style, if you will. 8D Anyway, I'll defer to you and the rest of the group. I'm cool either way. 8)

I think it would all come down to what sort of submissions I get.
Unless Nadia is a permanent fixture, getting a Jedi type would be neat. It would depend on the person too, of course, but not opposed to a 5th at all.
What do you mean were lacking a scoundrel what am I fried circuits? Although i think scoundrel is the only class we don't have... well that and jedi obviously but ozel's force sensitive at least. As for a fifth i don't mind, like you guys said it depends on who can jump in. Did any of the other original submissions include a scoundrel we could meet on bespin?

When you update your characters you need to edit the sheet in the game and your level breakdown. So once that's done just let me know and I'll double check it.

I said I was good, but I am so tired. My new job has been really nice, and mostly peaceful, but the schedule is kicking my ass so bad, I'm crashing out already, unfortunately. The good news: I should be getting used to this whole 6 am getting up thing soon, but, on the downside, like 3 more weeks, and I switch to my new schedule, which should be Sunday/monday/tuesday off, so I should be good to stay up and stuff Sundays! Just not this one. I'm very sorry, though!

Not sure if you've all seen, but the Update of Holding has gone live, which means... we're going to be testing out the roll templates I've been slowly putting together... I'll be working on getting that live here in the next few days if you'd like to play with it (and the new /talktomyself command). Since the feature is in beta for the sheet, you guys will be the guinea pigs to getting the look of them just right.

Next session will likely involve another time skip. Please let me know if there's anything you'd like to get done/ learn over the two day span. If you'd like to do individual RP sessions I think I can manage that as well. The droids will take 8 hours each to repair, with three of you working (D8, Aela and Bill), three will be done in 8 hours with someone needing to repair the last one, which could be D8 or one of the finished droids.
