Date: 28 Wealsun, 609 CY (Friday November 14th, 2014) Attendance: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Recap: While Jericho rests to mend his wounds from triggering the traps, Thruskk climbs down the rope to reunite with the party in the subterranean dungeon. From there the party cautiously presses forward. Peering through the keyhole in the door leading north, marked "Storage" in Elven, they find a huge corpse spread out across a bed of moldy old sacks. They enter the room and Thruskk pokes the corpse with his spear, causing it to spring to life. A battle commences that involves Clifton and Thruskk accidentally causing the sacks to be torn open, which showers the room in old flour. Clifton then uses his Mage Hand to throw his lantern at the large ogre zombie, causing it to ignite. The room is soon ablaze, so the party retreats to the previous room. They take the eastern path this time, and find a man who claims to have been Jeth's associate. There they learn that they must find three keys to open the Beast of Marlgrove's chamber. One is being held by Lila Ketborn, Clifton's old acquaintance, and another is held by the man himself. The third's location is unknown. After some time the man makes a deal with the party, promising to leave his key in a chest in the room before he exits (so as to avoid being another untied lose-end for the party). The party proceeds southwest; here they find a hallway. At the end they take the western door, and find themselves in a room full of huge, decorative armor. Jericho triggers a pressure plate that causes two of them to react and attack. Another short battle, with the party victorious. Afterwards, Ash recalls seeing a strange portion of the wall in the previous hallway. They examine it to reveal a room with a large chest, where a giant statue looms over with a giant raised sword above its head. Jericho triggers another trap, but time has not been kind to it; the sword stops just short of Jericho's head, and the statue collapses over on to its side.
