Date: 28 Wealsun, 609 CY (Friday November 21st, 2014) Attendance: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Recap: The party continues in the tomb-dungeon, starting where they left off in the hidden area. They decide to head west and they find themselves in a puzzle room, where they must push colored blocks in a specific order to proceed. Before they are able to do so, however, a half-elf woman tumbles out from behind one of the blocks and lands on her face. It's Lila Ketborn, a woman who once trekked with Clifton -- and killed his guide. She seems mentally unstable, and she does not recall Clifton, his professor, or the short expedition they experienced together. A fight later ensues; Lila is grappled and then bound. Jericho tortures her for answers by cutting off one of her toes , forcing her into a delirious state. Seeing no further use for her, Thruskk then tosses her into a thirty foot pit so she can "have peace." He is uncertain whether the fall kills her or not, though he does not seem to care. The puzzle is then solved, leading to a room with a collared Quaggoth. A short, one-sided fight ensues and the party continues on. There they find a scantily clad woman chained to a wall.She helps them find the final key and they rest up, readying themselves for the battle with the Beast. When they enter the next room the portcullis locks behind them, and the woman cackles and insults them. The next room is small and compact, with four large pillars making tactical movement difficult. Dozens upon dozens of body parts are strewn about the floor, covering it in putrid flesh, blood, and guts. The Beast steps out from behind a pillar and the final battle commences, with Ash performing the killing blow with her magically-fused staff. Checking the corpse, the Beast itself doesn't seem to sparkle, strangely; it is instead a twisted abomination littered with tumors. Jericho, with the help of Ash, manages to skin it into a near-perfect pelt. A door nearby opens, and a huge treasure chest is found. Inside, among other things, is a journal explaining how the Beast was created: a combination of wererat, werebear, and werewolf blood/saliva.
