Christmas and New Year's

We have regularly-scheduled game nights Friday, Dec. 26 and Friday, January 2. Neither of those days are going to be appropriate due to Christmas and New Year's. Even the Amazon barbarians from the south and people claiming to live in the fantasy land across the sea celebrate these holidays. It pains me to open conversations about makeup days because we've hacked and slashed that topic to death. There are really no days good for all of us together other than Friday, our current official game day. However, missing two weeks in a row kinda sucks. Also, this week I begin . . . it pains me to say this, too . . . I begin training again for the first time in four years. Thankfully, an old friend called me out of the blue and seriously admonished me for being the fat, lazy weak slob that I've become and invited me to a Muay Thai/jiu-jitsu gym. Tuesday and Thursday nights are out as I'll be on the mats or in the ring. Shortly after the New Year, I'll start lifting again Mon., Wed., Fri., after school. This will make Friday even less attractive for me than it already was and will almost certainly kill that day as a possibility altogether, leaving me with Saturday any time, Sunday afternoon, or Tuesday and Thursday mornings. I'm just throwing this out there now, a bit early. We've got a couple weeks to talk about it. Have some days in mind or some suggestions for next session.
Well it's sorta good news/bad news for me here. Good news is that after this week is finished, I won't be tutoring again until after the New Year, if at all, which frees up a lot of time for anything, bad news with that is that I won't get paid for sitting on my bum which means I go back to applying for other jobs again. I do have some hopes at getting a more stable/better paying job in my field with a couple recent ads I've applied to so I'm not certain how that will impact things. But as it stands, I'm pretty much good with any day until further notice.
Jobs suck. I've done my very best never to have one.
For 2015 I should have Saturdays freed up again (not mornings). I just picked up another game (on Sundays' afternoons), but it's looking quite iffy since the GM and 3 other players were both no-show and no-warning for this session, mighty disappointing... Otherwise Gorefest is the top priority among my games, if need be i'll drop out of others to accommodate our sessions.
Cool! Yeah, no-call no-shows are the worst of the worst. :( I'm so glad Chris is GM'ing at this time. It's again the week before finals week, which is when all projects and everything is due. I'm swamped. After next week, I'll be out of school, but my whole problem is Internet connection at home, so that doesn't help us much. However, like I say, I went to that RPG shop and it looked very promising. Might open up some new days and times for me. We'll talk about it Friday.
