The Four Golden Suits Commonly called the Iron Suit or Armorum Ferrum, the four suits of gold plated mark III power armor that Inquisitor Gan recovered from the thrice cursed world of Verronus in the Hadex Anomaly was reputedly used by the ceremonial guard of the Imperial saint that founded the hive world. The four golden suits of power armor feature augmented ablative plates of gold that cover the front of the hulking power armor, and the mark III design was intended foremost for use in boarding actions, tunnel assaults and void warfare, although it is considerably heavier and more power hungry than its most other power armor variants, weighing in at three hundred and fifty kilograms. The armor plates of the golden suits are sculpted to depict scenes of the Liberation of Verronus, feature prominent representations of the Golden Throne, the Saint and likenesses of the Saint's eight honor guards. Each suit has internal batteries that provide power for three days before requiring recharge for at least 1d5 hours. The suits include still functional Bio-Monitors, Injectors with an eight dose capacity, Nutrient Recyclers, gold plated winged skull lamps mounted on the left pauldron carry light into dark places, working Vox links (audio only without a helmet), Laud hailers, Magnetic boots, and Recoil Suppressors. Additionally, the armor grants a +30 bonus to the wearers Strength as long as their batteries hold out, a +20 bonus to Intimidate, a +10 bonus to Fellowship tests with Imperial loyalists as long as the armor is worn without a helmet, and the wearer is immune to Pinning tests while the armor is powered and undamaged. However the wearer suffers a -40 penalty to Stealth tests while wearing the heavy hulking armor and none of the suits include a helmet, so they are not environmentally sealed. The power armor has an AP value of 9 in the arms and legs. AP 10 in the chest but attacks from the rear treat the armor as having a AP of 6. Attacks directed at the wearers front also have to contend with an extra +2 levels of ablative armor which protect the wearer until that hit location suffers a wound from weapon damage. Some unknown property of the ablative gold armor plating reduces damage inflicted by las weapons by a single die, rendering the wearer immune to most las weapons unless they happen to be aimed at the wearers head, back, or the ablative armor is damaged. Lastly, each suit has one additional relic subsystem: an Augury Malifica, an ancient pattern of high powered auspex scanner integrated into the back of the armor with an arm mounted visual display and a range ten times greater than a normal auspex scanner. The special scanner continuously sweeps for signs of Daemonic activity and alerts the wearer meaning that the wearer is effectively never surprised by the appearance of Daemonic, Possessed, or Psychic entities as long as the suit remains powered. If the Augury Malifica could be disabled it would effectively double the operational life of the suits internal batteries. Rumor has it that the helmets of the golden suits contained hexagrammic circuitry that would render the wearer effectively immune to telepathy but were lost in the Great Crusade centuries before the birth of the Saint.
