character effect icons

This is a question about the icons that you can set on each character token...is there anywhere out there that explains what each one means? I mean, I know the blood splat looking one can be used for bloodied, and the snail for slowed, but is there an actual list explaining the rest?

Here's the full list by name. They can mean anything you want. I usually just say what it means when I DM/GM so that everyone is on the same page. :-) The full list of status markers that are available (in the same order they appear in the marker tray): "red", "blue", "green", "brown", "purple", "pink", "yellow", "dead", "skull", "sleepy", "half-heart", "half-haze", "interdiction", "snail", "lightning-helix", "spanner", "chained-heart", "chemical-bolt", "death-zone", "drink-me", "edge-crack", "ninja-mask", "stopwatch", "fishing-net", "overdrive", "strong", "fist", "padlock", "three-leaves", "fluffy-wing", "pummeled", "tread", "arrowed", "aura", "back-pain", "black-flag", "bleeding-eye", "bolt-shield", "broken-heart", "cobweb", "broken-shield", "flying-flag", "radioactive", "trophy", "broken-skull", "frozen-orb", "rolling-bomb", "white-tower", "grab", "screaming", "grenade", "sentry-gun", "all-for-one", "angel-outfit", "archery-target"

There isn't a definitive list of statuses they could represent; just the list of titles for the icons that Vince gives above. If someone has made a listing of all the effects that each of those icons could represent, hopefully they will come along and post it here, but I have not seen such an exhaustive or searchable index, as of yet. It's "meant" to be flexible enough to work for any game system, any interpretation, any kind of status. Roll20 has said this site is intended to be 'system agnostic' meaning it's not for any certain game, but rather for any game. That's got something to do with the collection of character status effect icons: they don't 100% match up with all the available character statuses from, say, D&D 3.5 or 4e which have a lot of particular statuses. Some of the icons match up with common statuses. Others can be shoe-horned into working for certain statuses. Meanwhile other statuses have no icon that adequately depicts, and some of the icons may not have any recognizable meanings for some games. Look on this Suggestion thread, about the ability to add more status effect icons for tokens: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1239900/create-c... In that thread you'll see many comments about this, and links to some 3rd-party external website(s) offering tons of status icons, which happen to be labeled with titles telling you what their icons would represent. That suggestion is already marked for "Long Term" development by Roll20 staff, meaning, in the long run, eventually we will probably have more icons and more ability to change the set of icons for your games.
