The 3D dice is what attracted my players to Roll20 since they feel the 3D dice really give it the true tabletop gaming feel. I even bought some of them more powerful computers so they could have the 3D dice option. There are a couple of issues we are having with the 3D dice. The first one is if you roll two dice in succession - like roll a d20 and then roll another d20 before the first one has finished, the numbers that show up in the chat log are different than what is rolled on the 3D dice. Everyone sees this, not just the roller. The second is if someone rolls a dice and another player rolls a dice before the first player's finishes, both dice are changed to the color of the second roller's. As you can imagine this causes a lot of confusion. My players are just average everyday folk, not technical geeks like a lot of us who use Roll20. They don't understand or appreciate the technical intricacies of something like Roll20, they just want it to work and get put off by small bugs like these. Collectively we are running Windows 7 and Windows 8. We mostly use Chrome, but the problem is the same with Firefox. It seems to be universal to whatever computer, browser, or operating system we are using. I assume we aren't the only ones having this problem with the dice. There's no criticism here, I love Roll20 and hope it is around till the sun burns out. I just twinge a little whenever we have these issues and my players complain about it. It was hard enough convincing non-technical folk to use something that requires some technical savvy like Roll20. To me it runs pretty good with a few small bugs, to them something is broken. Are these dice issues something that can be addressed? Please.
