Copy/Paste Issue

I'm having an issue copying and pasting things into character sheets from time to time. Whenever I paste or do ctrl+v the character sheet editing pane flashes and nothing's changed. It happens at random intervals. I don't know what's going on with it. Anyone else had this issue or could help?

Hi The Collector. Can you tell us what sheet or sheets you are using and does closing and reopening the sheet show that pasted text?

Just the standard sheets and no. Would it have something to do with the horizontal dividers?

There actually isn't a standard sheet, there are dozens of community-created character sheets. The part that comes 'standard' is the Bio & Info tab, and the Attributes tab, with no actual Character Sheet assigned to the game by the GM. Since the community created character sheets vary widely, I think that is why Vince asked which sheet you are using, or tell if you just mean the Bio tab, as that might help diagnose.

My apologies. That's what I meant. We just use the Bio & Info tab. Like barbarians. Don't judge me. But would that be the cause of the issue?

No one's judging you for ONLY using the Bio & Info tab... :-) A few more questions then, do you have permission to edit the journal/character sheet( Can be Edited and Controlled by ), and are you clicking on the Edit option on the Bio & Info tab and trying to edit the text editing box called "Bio and Info"?

Yes to both. I'm the GM in the campaigns I'm having issue with.

Congrats Collector, you pass on the easy stuff. What about your browser make and version? I noticed that you said "from time to time". Any way to nail down a way to replicate the problem? Do you ever have issues using copy/paste outside of roll20?

No issues outside it normally. I use Firefox on the current build. I had a feeling it might be when bullets are used but for some reason I can copy-paste bullet-ed stuff fine in a new box but in the bio & info box of a page where it won't let me copy-paste the at all. It was strange because it would let me copy-paste stuff out of a pdf file but not from the clipboard of Word or other boxes on Roll20.

What, if any FF addons, anti-virus, security suite, ad-blockers, etc. are you using? Sometimes those types of applications can cause conflicts within your browser. You might try Chrome just to see if you have the same problems. Just trying to narrow our focus to isolate the culprit.
