First: Creating a sheet is not easy, quick, or simple. And its not like anyone here has made a career of making Roll20 sheets. I don't know if you intended to come off as exasperation and flustered, but that's what I'm getting. Most folks won't offer up their free time just because a stranger one else is frustrated.

I would like to help. Am I going to have to figure out all the auto calculations you have built into the sheet? I'm not spun up on Palladium, so I'm gonna need some explanations. I am also not a super high tech fax machine where you can feed a pdf and I'll spit out a roll20 sheet. All of this will be 'hand built'.

Do you want buttons to roll dice? The last two sheets will be easiest to handle using a repeating table, which requires some tinkering to have any working buttons with them.

Anyhow, I will need more information, but I'm willing to help.

The problem with a "universal" Palladium sheet, is that, unless you're using a bunch of blank fields, the various Races, Classes, skills, powers, spells, etc. are spread out through a vast assortment of books. Couple that with the stance that Palladium apparently has against converting to pdf, and it's a herculean task that may require an already existent library for the content creator (i.e. unless they already own hard copies of all the books, it's difficult, if not impossible, to create a sheet covering everything).

I thought about doing one for awhile, and then recalled the vast amount of material that Palladium spewed forth.

Yes i AM exasperated NO i am not any kind of CODE person. and as far this sheet i mean come on people BITCH about the vastness of Palladium YET there are much more vast and complicated systems represented in the long list of sheets already built for roll20, is it to god damn much to have your favorite game have just 1 universal sheet listed on Roll20s character sheet roster. i am SERIOUS, i have a hundred dollar bill set aside to who ever can do this. Not tell me they cant, but actually DO IT, and if the guy who made that sheet which by its virtue ALREADY takes into count pretty much everything needed, its all there .. Then someone of these great and mighty code experts who make these roll20 sheets could use it as a template. translation im tired of hearing it cant be done. by God Gurps and Savage Worlds have 2 sheets Palladium can have at least 1..

If I could interject....

John, looking at the thread on Deviantart it seems as though none of these fields auto-calculate. It's just a fillable sheet that contains every stat and doohickey Palladium have devised thus far. The Palladium system, as Simon right points out is kind of sprawling, and approached more through pick and choose.

Tim, some friendly advise if you'll take it? Calm waaaaaaay down and I am sure people will be willing, perhaps even eager to help; but you will find help from people able to make custom sheets is far more forthcoming if they don't feel they are being yelled at. I'm sure your post was simply born of frustration but I hope that you'll consider my friendly advice as a way to help you reach your goal.

It's a very fine community here and people like to keep Roll20 expanding, so here's hoping John has the time and inclination to work on it and that those well versed in Palladium are able to help answer questions as required.

Side note, I think William was working on a universal palladium sheet if you check back in the Forum a ways.

I am, slooowly.
Holidays, work, kids, etc I'm doing it bits and pieces as I get around to it.
Working off the Rifts one I made but I have so many custom fields, house rules and scripts made into I have to redo without them, its like making a new one from scratch almost..haha

Then I got to get around to learning github and how all that works. Hopefully around the 1st(ish) of january Ill have it all done.

I just got done reading a request for a character sheet for Eclipse Phase. It contained a lot of useful links to data to make the sheet, and lacked all the rancor I felt here. This had the effect of annoying me that I did all this work for this game instead of that one.

Here is the link to my google drive folder where the hmtl and css for the character sheet you requested. I haven't quite figured out Github, this is as far as I can push it. It is a very basic sheet- no buttons, only holds information. So its pretty much like having a pdf, but inside of roll20. Its also not pretty, so could use a lot of cleaning up. But, all in all, not bad for my second character sheet, and second time screwing with html.

I don't want any money; that's not why I did this. Instead, see if you can donate it to the roll20 guys. They put this thing together, and I'm sure they would like some one else to buy the first round.

Just an update. I've made a pull request for John W 's Palladium Megaverse sheet. Hopefully it will show up as a community sheet soon.

Thanks again to John W. for stepping up and creating this sheet. This is a very basic sheet and is more like a place holder of character information. Anyone that is familiar with the Palladium system and has basic html experience is welcome and encouraged to improve this character sheet. Maybe even a collaborative effort could be made...

Game on.

Awesome Work John, and thanks to Tim.W for making this thread.

I just joined Roll20 and I'm thinking next payday of becoming a supporter, but I always wondered why there was never a Palladium sheet. John you are a hero!

random question how long did it take you to code all of it?

It went pretty quick- close to three days- but there was several things in my favor:
  • I used a LOT of code I used on my previous character sheet. "Copy and Paste is your friend".
  • This sheet was data only, and now calculations, buttons, or other such things.
  • A lot of it (the magic powers especially) could be made by a repeatable tables.
  • The styling (making it pretty) on the sheet is the minimum of what I figured I could get away with. It's rather ugly, and that could use some work.
And there are bound to be mistakes, better ways of doing this or that, etc. Like I said, it was my second sheet, ever. Also my second attempt at html and css.

And, thanks, everyone, for the support.

I am just hoping this means we will see more Palladium games popping up now in the Looking For Group Section, I know palladium has it's pro's and cons to it's character creation process, but I think you really nailed it!
Challenge Acc- Oh wait I don't know how to do that.

Thanks, John W.

Honestly I prefer basic sheet and can then add what I need later. If you want the nuts and bolts of auto calculated bonuses for abilities drop me a note and I can send you my google sheet.

Thanks again.

Honestly, unless something amazing happens on my end, I'm done working on it. Its available for anyone who wants it to work on it, via github.
