PTU Character Sheet

On the official Github repository, there are two Pokemon Tabletop United character sheets. The first, titled PokemonTabletopUnited, is a Pokemon character sheet, and is available for non-subscribers. The other, PokemonTabletopUnitedFull, can be used for both Pokemon and Trainers, which is an important feature for PTU. PTUFull is not available for non-subscribers. I was wondering why this is, and if, perhaps, it could be fixed.

No idea; I don't see anything obviously wrong about it on the repo. You might try prodding Riley or Steve about it.

Corin, The answer is because the "Full" sheet shouldn't have been a separate sheet. We don't want duplicate sheets for the same system that aren't radically different in approach. The alterations made in the Full (adding the trainer option) should be merged into the existing sheet taking care to make sure the current field names match up and new trainer fields don't conflict so that it doesn't break people's current game sheets.
Well, on a new, related note, based upon initial inspection, the sheets seem to have one area of incompatibility, the move lists. If anyone is willing to test this further and can suggest how to unite the moves, it would be appreciated.

Any reason why the current sheets for PTU have now disappeared from campaigns already using them? EDIT: for some reason our GM can still see them for the existing ones but if he creates a new character entry he can't see the sheet either if that helps. Double-EDIT: now he can't see any of them either...

This should now be resolved. A community member made a contribution to the sheet and incorreclty updated the sheet.json file. I've fixed it and the sheet should be working again.
Sorry 'bout that. Thanks Steve!

For future reference you should verify that your .json file is valid at <a href="http://jsonlint.com" rel="nofollow">http://jsonlint.com</a> whenever you make changes to it.
One thing that might need to be changed in the calculation for 'Max AP' in the sheet. At level 1 it should be 5 Max AP but it shows as 10. Just thought I'd put that out there.
Another thing I noticed, Max Hit Points for Trainers is only calculating from the points put into the 'Allocated' Field. E.g. At lvl 1, Allocated 0 = 12 Max HP (With 12 being in the 'Base Stat' value), and at Allocated 12 = 48 Max HP (With 12 being in the 'Base Stat' value).

Good catch. I submitted a new version, so the issues should be fixed as soon as it's approved.
As someone who used the old character sheet template for quite some time, I'd like to list the issues I have with the new character sheet template: 1. As stated, hitpoints are calculated from the points in the Allocated field. 2. HP shouldn't have combat stages associated with it at all, it's not allowed. 3. Moves were originally arranged higher on the character sheet and now they're below a whole list of things that come up a lot less often like Features and Abilities, which were originally on the bottom. This may just be personal preference, but most the time these character sheets are used for Pokemon instead of Trainers and therefore what moves they have comes up a lot more (at least in my campaign) than what capabilities, abilities, edges, skills, Trainer-specific things like attributes, etc. that they have. It's just a little tedious to have to scroll past all that stuff all the time, I dunno. 4. The macros for skill rolls don't work properly for Pokemon if you don't go into the attributes fields (which Pokemon don't have) and manually enter 0's on everything. Again, not a huge deal but a little tedious. Otherwise, I love the new ability to calculate things separately for Trainers and Pokemon. That's a fantastic addition and I imagine it's probably not easy making these sheets, so no judgement. Just thought I'd throw my two cents in here, and thanks!

I've made up a fix for the stated issues, and it should be implemented when approved. Feel free to chip in on any new issues, since I'm not very asthetically/accessibility minded. Besides, most of the issues up to this point have been either Roll20 macro related or the coding equivalent of drag and drop, so it's not much trouble.
Alright, awesome! I look forward to the approval, and thanks!
I see the new sheet template has arrived, and I just wanted to say it's very awesome! Everything I listed above was addressed, and I'm impressed! In fact, I think the new template is now much better than what we had before any of these changes. Thanks again!
You're welcome! Let me know if you find any other way to improve it.
