Hello Adventurer's League Club I have been GMing and playing for about 2 years, mostly GMing. I've played some 5e and GM'd a few one shots but I'm looking to get in to something a bit more long term than a series of one shots. I also have 3 other friends that would join if someone wants to start something without other players in mind. If not I'm also happy to join alone. If someone is interested in a player let me know. I would like to speak to the GM before I join though so I have a good understanding of what I'm getting in on. Some things I'm looking for. An 18+ or close enough party. I welcome new players but I'd like a somewhat experienced GM. A story and RP based game. A non-evil party that is planning on working together. A session 0 or something like it. A bit about me. I'm 20 going to school in New York for software engineering. I've played & or GMed 3.5, Pendragon, Dark Heresy, Rogue Trader, Fate Core, GURPS, Call of Cthulhu, Savage Worlds, Fiasco, and of course 5E. I am experienced in Roll20. I have a mic and webcam. For a while I'd like to be a player but I can easily switch to GM in the future especially if my friends join. My free time will be the following - All of this is in EST -- -- Monday 12:00am - 11:00pm Tuesday 5:30pm - 11:00pm Wednesday 12:00am - 11:00pm Thursday 5:30pm - 11:00pm Friday 12:00am - 11:00pm Saturday Pretty much free all day Same for Sunday at the moment -- -- Lastly I figured it'd be good to leave a character idea, but I don't have to play this character I'm willing to make a new one. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Dyok Tirestone "I am Dyrok Tirestone the half-orc paladin of Barrenfalls." Dyrok was not born in to what anyone might refer to as a planned conception. His father who to this day is of mystery raided the small woodland town of Barronfalls and left only his seed from which Dyrok emerged. Barronfalls is an innocent town that hides beneath the tall trees of the Shandy Woods. After the orks discovered its location there was hardly any chance of defense, in the passed it was never necessary. In less than a night the town was in rubble with its population cut to half and no food to speak of. About 9 months later Lioa Tirestone a mere human gave birth to a monstrosity, a half breed, Dyrok was born. The townsfolk looked passed Dyrok in the fear that his eyes would hold all that they had lost. In return Dyrok would learn well how to hide his face, and all that he could find comfort in was the ancient books of those who would bring life to the world, the God of the Eternal Spring. Many years later in the winter months it was told that the Orks would again return to Barronfalls to claim the scraps they had left many years ago. The local druid who had lost his legs in their first attack called upon Dyrok to stand guard to earn his rightful stay. Dyrok would now be granted his first opportunity to show his grace for Barronfall's mercy and redemption for what could have been his true father Lioa's husband Rine. Dyrok swiftly went to commune the Shandy Woods which had been the closest thing to a father until a vision emerged. "Dyrok Tirestone, a man conceived in and of pure evil. Will you flush the world that knealed so grossly for your creation." "I will bring back to this world what had been taken out for my expense and continue to spread the word of the ancients." "You shall try my son...." The half orc then awoke sitting with a unicorn nearly 10 paces away staring deep into his mind. With a neigh and gallop the creature vanished into the woods leaving behind a steel sword amongst the tree vines with a shield to its side emblazed upon it a unicorns majestic head looking to the stars. Those Orks had never made it back to Barronfalls, for that very night in which Dyrok had his revelation he had proved his worth in blood. Unfortunately or fortunately, Barronfalls would never truly accept Dyrok as their own. They gave thanks with their eyes glancing to the left and right on Dyrok's return. But that's okay, he wouldn't be much of a hero hiding away in the small woodland village of Barrenfalls anyways. "What is not necessary to say.. but what must be reminded to those who would dare forget. Life will always find a way." ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Thanks for reading from Jesse Bergerstock.
