Hello everyone, So our first session will be held this Tuesday, starting at 2 pm GMT (That's 6 PM my local time). The objective of that session will be to get everyone to meet each other. We'll talk a bit about the campaign and our expectations of it, and get to rolling characters. There are a few things that I'd like people to want to consider for their personas. It may be worthwhile to think about them until Tuesday. Your characters will have been raised (not necessarily born) in a small village of about 300 people, nestled in a valley and surrounded by forests (foresting is the main business). There is nothing remarkable about this village. However, I am not saying that your PCs should not be remarkable. After all, there is a reason they will be our PCs. Maybe he believes he is larger than the small life he will have here, with aspirations to become rich! Maybe she is a bookish girl, always desperate for the next visit of the erratic travelling book merchant. She's heard tales of the collossal library of Lunaria, house to millions of books, with sections long lost and forgotten, host to legendary lore. Maybe they are exiles from a faraway land who want to lay low in this village. I want you to consider your family and friends. Your PC was raised in the village. Who raised him? Was it his parents? or some surrogate family? Did he have any friends? Did she have a teenage sweetheart? Also of importance is your link to the other PCs. In a small village like this everyone knows everyone. When we meet on tuesday, I want you guys to come up with ways you are related. It is highly likely that, being young and capable, that you will be part of the village's humble militia. We will see. Keep in mind that the selection of starting gear is limited to simple weapons and padded armor. I may allow a slight upgrade if it makes sense for your background or your PCs is proficient in weapon or armor crafting.
