Sheet Request for Vampire: the Requiem 2nd Edition

Hi there! I'm starting up a VtR game, but it seems there aren't any characters sheets for it. Is anyone able to help me out? If you need a reference, you can find some awesome pdf sheets here . Thanks!
I'll see what I can do. No promises; I've been tired. But I'll take a look see.
Here is the html and css. I will, eventually, push this up to github. Its very basic, and has no buttons. It also could use a lot of styling. But, its here, and mirrors the character sheet.
John: Thanks! I have no idea how to check how it looks, but I'll take your word for it :) As long as I can fill in the dots and have somewhere to track Vitae, Willpower and Health, it's perfect.
It has more than that . Not much more, but at least a little more than just that.
Submitted in pull request created. Here is a screenshot of the sheet:

Great work, John.
Looks great! Any idea when it'll be up for use? First session is in three hours :)
Thanks; it means a lot coming from on of the guys with the 'Dev Team' sticker. Side note: I didn't think to look until just now, but the God Machine character sheets won't work? I could have sworn some one make a New World of Darkness sheet by now. I guess not.
I got the email saying they merged it with the main files on github. In a few days, give or take a few days, it will be available as a usable character sheet. Provided I did everything right. Mistakes on my part have happened before.

The sheet is live.
Hooray!
Whoo! Worth noting in the sheet name is that it refers to 2nd Edition (or Blood and Smoke).

...whoops? Edit: I'll fix it when I get a chance. I thought there was a difference between Second edition and Blood and Smoke.
Well, for a time, Blood and Smoke was most definitely not Second Edition (mostly due to executive branding decisions, IIRC), but since they decided to revisit other NWoD titles, they reverted that decision. Also, I've had time to play around with the sheet, where do you prefer feedback? Github, PM, or this thread?
Post it here. I will update as I can, and allow others to see the issues, offer suggestions on how to fix, etc. The sheet itself is now availible for anyone to modify.

Okay. So, Attributes, Skills, and pretty much everything that uses the black dots can't be set to 0. This is bad in case someone misclicks on their sheet. Humanity, OTOH, could switch to the black dot system, since the character effectively becomes an NPC if it drops to 0. Vitae could really use a 2-state checkmark. Like the one you have now and a full black one, so one can lock out unneeded boxed to represent maximum Vitae capacity. A small textbox below Blood Potency would be nice to note down related statistics, like Vitae/Turn. You could probably add a couple more lines for Merits/Disciplines. My players like to collect them, and it'd make the layout feel better if Merits ended at the same point as Skills :) Is it possible to add a "Full Sheet" tab, like the one in the DnD 5e sheet? This is merely a personal preference of mine, feel free to ignore it if it's too much trouble :)
1. You can, by going to the attributes & abilities tab in the character journal (not the character sheet, but to the right of it), locating the offending entry, and hitting the little 'x' next to it. Or setting it to zero, also works. Then, close the sheet and open it again. The awesome, ultra cool fill the boxes in from the left is a set of radio boxes that requires one of them to be checked. The zero radio is simply hidden. I could change it to a bunch of round check boxs (like humanity is), but you would have to check all the boxes individually. Each button made would have to sum up the total of each check box, which is mildly annoying. But, since you were the one who asked for it, I am willing to spend a little time making the sheet to what you want. How do you want the sheet to work? 2. Okay, will make humanity a black dot. 3. Dunno how to make a checkbox have two different checks. I can make it a rotating image, like the health boxes. Or, I can make two rows of boxes, like willpower, with one red an the other black. 4. Will work on the textbox 5. You want a couple of each, or a repeating table where you can add as many as you want? I am okay with either. 6. Wow, that 5th edition sheet is complicated. And very well done. I'll look into it, but I don't think I am currently up to such an undertaking right now. Let me see in a few weeks.

1. Okay, did not know that. Not having to fill in every dot is nifty, so I'd just leave it at that. 1.1. For future reference, Composure is usually abbreviated as comp (even in the books, IIRC). Just being nitpicky, at this point :) 3. Yeah, I meant rotating images. Does it show I have no idea how the sheets actually work? :) 5. Repeating table might work better. In that case, I'd suggest trimming down on the default number of lines (5 should work nicely). Edit: 7. Can't believe I've missed this, Experience is misspelled :P 8. Some of the text boxes are behaving weirdly. Aspirations will use the Bane text after reopening the sheet, Bane will copy the text from Aspirations by default, and Humanity textboxes, Size, Speed, Defense, Initiative, Armor, Experience and Bound To (under Vinculum, 3rd page) are disappearing when the sheet is reopened. 9. Some Devotions cost Vitae, others cost Willpower. Can you switch the Cost from an incremental counter to a plain text box?

1. Cool. Less work for me. 1.1. Yes. I can also make buttons that will make rolls. One of the sheet for the World of Darkness includes "build your own dice pools" section, which I will have to look into. Holy freaking wow! The God-machine character sheet has the same fill from the left dots as I (stole and) put in the sheet, but also has a empty-this-trait switch! It also has no borders on its text boxes, a cool image, and some other, minor yet very cool stuff. So...I gonna raid github for this sheet and steal things my sheet should have. 2. My working copying now has a black dot for humanity. 3. Will work rotating images into Vitae. 4. Textbox now on working copy 5. Repeating fields set up. 6. Wait on this part; i have to see if its worth the effort. 7. Fixed on working copy now. 8. Will look into it. Likely just named them wrong Banes was named aspirations; fixed in working copy. Humanity textbox had type-"text" instead of type="text" like it was suppose to. Apparently "-" does not mean the same as "=". Fixed on working copy. Size, Speed, Defense, Initiative, Armor, and Experience are, I think, fixed. Vinculum was listed as type="test" instead of type="text". Test, text...not that big of difference. Geez. Fixed on working copy. 9. Working Copy updated with text boxes for cost.

It also has no borders on its text boxes, a cool image, and some other, minor yet very cool stuff. So...I gonna raid github for this sheet and steal things my sheet should have. A number of the Wite Wolf games have ultimately based their dot-based widgets (fill-from-left radio buttons) on my work on the Exalted sheet. Without looking at the God-machine sheet, I suspect the "empty-this-trait switch" you're talking about is similar to what I did with the Abilities on the Exalted sheet. Essentially, it adds a checkbox (value stored in <ability>_max instead of <ability>) before the radio button group, with CSS that overrides the fill-from-left behavior if the checkbox is checked. One disadvantage to this is that it makes macros more complicated, since you'd need to use, for example, ((1 - @{melee|max}) * @{melee}) to get the correct value of the attribute. Another thing to consider might be looping through the values of the trait on click, rather than using the fill-from-left approach. I've considered adding this to the Exalted sheet because Exalted can easily go beyond 5 in a trait, particularly for games taking place during the Firat Age. I haven't implemented it yet, but if you're interested in the idea, I made a jsfiddle of it . This is accomplished by stacking the radio buttons on top of each other, displaying an appropriate image, and making the next radio button sit on the top of the stack.
1.1. My original post had some requests on macro features, but I've reconsidered my stance. The WoD system is so modular it would be a) tons of work or b) not really useful (seriously, I've asked for Presence+Brawl rolls before). Even auto calculation on some fields, like defense and initiative, would get wonky because there's plenty of variables (Disciplines, Merits, etc). 1.2. Haven't checked out that sheet yet, but a "clear value" button would be awesome. Alternatively, the thingy that Brian made could work, too. 6. Probably not :)
I am working on the "clear button" thing. Just no tonght. I am also working on a small (five or so) "common dice pools", allowing the users to select attribute and skill (and a modifier, like Disciplines) to roll. This maybe a simple button with a user inputed name and a number of dice to roll, but it might help out a lot.
Clear button installed. Common dice pools installed. Pull request made.

Just wondering, when will we be able to see the changes?
Having issues with Github. My fu is not strong there.
The patient, wise, patient, amazing, patient, knowledgeable, and patient Steve K. helped me upload the fixes. Hopefully, they will be visible within a few days.

I am attempting to use the roll templates, but I am having some issues getting started. I have looked in several other character sheets, and can't find any templates to use. Do I put the macro under a button? Example : button type='roll' value='&{template:wod} {{name=@{character_name}}} {{roll_name=Command}} {{attr=Intelligence}} {{attr_num=@{intelligence}}} {{skill=Intimidation}} {{skill_num=@{intimidation}}} {{pwr=Dominate}} {{pwr_num=@{dominate}}} {{mod_num=?{Modifiers|0}}} {{result=[[{(@{intelligence}+@{intimidation}+@{dominate}+?{Modifiers|0})d10!}>8]]}}' Do I just install the roll template html and css into the sheet, and put the macro information somewhere the user can find it, and build one of their own?

John, currently roll templates are only on DEV and I believe adding it to a button as you suggest above should work. As for how to "install" it, the roll templates should just be part of the Character sheet html file and the same goes for the CSS. Just in case you weren't aware, roll templates are encapsulated in <rolltemplate> tags. On my Savage Worlds sheet I just placed the code right before my final closing
tag. here's an example of the code for one of the templates I'm working on: <rolltemplate class="sheet-rolltemplate-swddmg">
{{name}}

{{#weapon}}
{{weapon}}
{{/weapon}}

Roll Results

 Damage ({{damage_type}}):

{{damage}}

Modifiers Applied

{{#raise}}

 Raise:

d{{raise}}

{{/raise}} {{#dmgmod}}

 Miscellaneous:

{{dmgmod}}

 Miscellaneous Notes:{{misc_notes}}

{{/dmgmod}}

</rolltemplate> Hope that helps.
...oh, only on the Dev server. That would explain a few of my issues. Cool. Thanks. Would roll templates work is I hid them (display {block}) so they don't show if I add the to a normal (non-Dev server) character sheet?

When they hit PROD they'll be hidden anyway, so no need to do that. I'll need a Dev or someone smarter than I am to answer your other question, though. But as I understand it, if you submit a non-Dev sheet with a roll template as part of it, it will go I to a holding pattern or something until roll templates are released to PROD. Personally, I'm just going to wait and submit the roll templates after the Update of Holding is released. Unfortunately that means my sheet won't have them day 1, but I struggle with GitHub as it is and figured I'd reduce the complications for myself. :)
Good plan. I'm still gonna try and put some in. The intent is the user to be able to use the sheet without needing a whole different sheet for the dev server.
Just a tiny notice: update approved and available on Roll20 (clear radio button installed, common dice pools installed, repeating fields adjusted, few other minor changes)

Okay, time for some feedback! First Page: 1. You still have to select individual dots of Humanity and Willpower. Being the only things working like that, seems weird. Could use the same system as Attributes/Skills/etc. 2. The common dice pool is nifty, but the rolls aren't exploding. It should be something like [[{?{dicepool}d10!}>8]] (which is the macro I use). 3. Same issue with dicepools now as before with merits/disciplines. Maybe just have 2 or 3 lines by default, with add/modify buttons. 4. The textbox below Blood Potency needs to be slightly wider, can't fit "1/turn, max11" (regarding Vitae limits). Fourth Page: 5. Is it at all possible (and not much work) to fit the character's avatar somewhere? Just because, IMHO, it would look cool. Everything else seems to work fine, thanks!

Glad you like: 1. The rows of dots that fill from the left works because they are all on the same row of a table. I haven't figured out how to get the do so across different rows. 2. What I really need to do is add in a way to adjust where it explodes; certain dice pools have 8- and 9- again, after all. I just don't know how yet. I will adjust the dice pools for the 10-again. 3. Sounds good; I'll work on it. 4. Okay, will do. 5. I don't know how to add an image to a character sheet from the journal page; I don't know any drag-and-drop coding. I'll let you know when I make the changes.
Everything works now! You rock. Thanks a bunch. As for #4 from Garrano, why do you need the max? Now that he's changed Vitae to work like Health, you can display "max" by just having empty Vitae markers. That's what I'm doing. It's great to have a space for vitae-per-turn now, though. Then again, we manage WP/Vitae with tokens instead, so it's pretty easy to have a max there, too.
Exploding dice pools, repeating dice pools, and bigger blood potency text box. Pull request . Really glad you guys like it. Side note: I hate "{" and "}" thingies

Maina C. said: As for #4 from Garrano, why do you need the max? Now that he's changed Vitae to work like Health, you can display "max" by just having empty Vitae markers. ... Good point. John: 1. Again, this shows my inexistent code-fu, I thought it was just a matter of making the table display sideways :) Edit: wait, that's Humanity. Willpower is still horizontal and shouldn't be much trouble, correct? 2. 9-again and 8-again aren't common enough to bother with it. If you can do it, cool, if not, don't sweat it.
Perhaps, later, I will set up the will power. I've already made the pull request for the other changes, and I don't want to flood the Roll20 crew with multiple changes to the same sheet, all at once. And I've done the work, so I don't want cancel the current pull request. "Shouldn't be too much trouble" is an interesting phrase. Anything that involves me and Github usually results in some amount of trouble.

Put in an update: cleaned up some stuff, adjusted the hidden areas, and added a "show all tabs" tab. The last part was from the Savage Worlds tabbed sheet; I finally understood that part of his amazing creation. Seriously, look at his stuff; it is mind blowing. Edit: Pull request made; I'll post again when/if its approved.

I ran today, and for some reason the Aggravated Damage icon on the health boxes was blank. Not sure if that's on your end or Roll20's. Excited to see "show all tabs" when it comes through, though!

Awesome. Gotta say that you totally rock. A lot of sheets for more popular games I've looked at have gone unfixed and half-finished for months. You seem to fix things pretty ASAP.
