Frequent issues with audio dropping

When we play one or more players will have their audio suddenly drop, or they will not be able to hear everyone.

Aaron, can you have your players run through our Audio Visual Trouble Shooting guide next time they have issues? Report back with their specs and a console log if those steps don't clear up the problem.
I'm in a group with 3 other regular players, and we have exactly this issue too. Laggy sound and sound when we suddenly hear someone sped up for several seconds, and intermittent cut out. None of us are muted, or not transmitting sound. We have some sound and video, but it drops frequently and is often low quality/freezes. Or we have it for a short period and then someone's cut off and has to reload. Just did my speed test, and its ping is 20ms, 2mps download and 5mps upload speed. The rest of us are comparable. All using latest version of either Chrome or Firefox (which seemed to work better for the two of us in the same room). Now we are all using the Google+ Hangout app, and noticing the same thing. We are always playing at 8:30pm or later East Coast time, often on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays. Is this likely a peak usage time issue? It happens every time we play, which is 1-4 times per month, over the last year. It's not an occasional issue, it really impacts game performance and some nights we just give up.
We have the same issue. We play in New Zealand and Ping tests show we have good connection. 4mps download and 2mps upload. we have tried goings to different peoples houses and the trouble shooting. At present we have had to revert to Skype but would rather use the game videos.
