Elaryan wakes early the morning after the trip to Avernus, in his bed at the Inn of the Defender's Heart. Summoning Eovan, he heads downstairs for breakfast. On the way, he knocks at Nor and Lor's door, but there is no answer. Suprisingly, Arthas is waiting in the tavern room, having returned from his mysterious meeting with the Grim White Stag. Something about the encounter has changed the paladin: his hair and skin are now a pale blue color, and one of his eyes is discolored and gray. Elaryan fills Arthas in on the previous days excitement, and after some discussion, they decide to return to tracking the beast that King rail sent them after. Nor is still nowhere to be found, so they continue without him. After a mostly uneventful trip, they arrive at the Gray Road and begin scouting. After walking along the riverbed for sevral miles, they encounter an area carpeted with bones. They have not progressed far into this bizarre area when some of the bones become animates, forming two large pterandon skeletons. The heroes attack, but every time they strike down one of the creatures, two more take its place! It is a true war of attrition, as skeleton after skeleton falls before them. As this exhausting melee is winding down, but before the companions have a chance to regroup, an even more ferocious foe appears. A massive, purple dragon-- the beast that Leor referred to as the Woundwyrm-- swoops down on them and begins breathing gouts of acid. Eoavn is killed almost immediately, then Elaryan falls. Arthas manages to wound the beast, sending it scurrying away, then grabs the bodies of his comrades and flees back to Anestral City. Everyone who played gains 1,000 XP
