If you have not done so already, please create a background story for your character. Try and answer some of the following questions with it. I like to use elements of characters backgrounds to incorporate into the campaign. It is far more interesting I think for the players to have some attachment to NPC's if they know them in some way. This info will be private between the GM and player unless they tell others within the game. Just put this info on the Biography tab of the character sheet. Where did you come from? Do you have any living relatives that you are close to? Why did you come to Waterdeep and join your respective school? Anything major happen in your life that shapes who you are? Do you have any phobias? This info can be as short or as long as you like. The you create though the more I can use in the game.
