I am interested in playing in a DnD 4e Forgotten Realms campaign. I have run campaigns in this setting since 1989 and would like to experience DnD and Forgotten Relams as a PC.
My ideal game time would be Monday through Thursday after 9:00 PM PST.
While I'd like to find a FR game to play in, depending on the response to this thread I may be inclined to launch another campaign in this setting.
I really just want to game more that I have been able to and reach out to the new communities available now that VTT's like this are in full swing.
On another note:
I am currently running a blend of "in person" an "virtual table top" game using 4e but set in a pre-spellplague Forgotten Realms era. I have about 7 current players in that campaign but still manage to hit weeks where we cant all sync schedules and I find my self player-less.
At some point, I may also be looking for players for that long- running campaign and would love to pull from the pool of players and DM's I meet and game with here.
I would prefer folks that:
1. Want to play 4e.
2. Have either played or DM'ed in a pre-spellplague FR campaign. Alternatively FR fiction fans are great too.
The current setting is just after the Fall of Zhentil Keep and involves the activities of the town of Soubar which is now ruled by a Dwarven Lord and his fairly organized military and watch. A large Mystran Temple complex and a semi-retired Harper agent are other power groups within town as well as the growing merchant and Noble presence as town leaves its caravan outpost and text marketplace roots behind. The nearby town of Triel in this campaign has been inhabited by goblinoid tribes with human refugees now inhabiting Soubar. The general populace and the local leadership dont appreciate the unholy and negative attention that the presence of the Mystran church draws and the vicinity to the now goblinoid town of Triel is a constant threat.
The campaign has sent our players to Waterdeep (and Undermountain), the Vhilon Reach, Cormyr, the Dales as well as the Outer Planes.
For those interested send me a dnd4e file or link to a character sheet for a level 1 PC as well as a background using this format:
Step 1: Write 5 background and concept elements that you feel are important to your image of the character. These can be a concept overview, a list of important life events, a physical description, a personality profile…whatever you need to get an image in your mind. 5 is just a minimum…more elements are encouraged!
Step 2: List at least two goals for the character. At least one of these goals should be one that the character has, while another should be one that you, as a player, want to see developed over the course of the game.
Step 3: List at least two secrets about your character. One is a secret the character knows, one is a secret that involves him but that he is not actually aware of yet. This will help me in creating plots that center around your character. I will also be creating a third secret which you as a player will not be aware of, so expect some surprises!
Step 4: Describe at least three people that are tied to the character. Two of them are friendly to the character, one is hostile. If you like, you can include an enemy of yours here as well, so I have an instant NPC nemesis to throw at you.
Step 5: Describe three memories that your character has. They don’t have to be elaborate, but they should provide some context and flavor.
