2e Adventures in a homebrew world -- Campaign & game session scheduling status update! This Monday Player meeting and introductory session is scheduled for tomorrow (errr less than 24 hours from now, Monday 2pm Central USA). The game-day and time is listed on the campaign details page converted for your time zone automatically. Check the time and see if it works for you this week. Show up at the game-room and have Skype active. I adjusted the time 2 hours later than originally mentioned, to better work with Flutic schedule (Now 2:05 PM Central USA time, instead of Noon). I hope this will work with most players. Dialog with me if this time slot doesn't work for you. Roster notes at this point for Monday AFIK, Pat -- normally can play this Monday time, however, might not be able to join us this Monday, or maybe he will. Flutic/G -- will be here this Monday being a Kenku doing Kenku things, Flutic can get here around 2:30 so I've set the start-time just a few minutes earlier for gathering people. Maxx -- will probably be here, but is excused (as anyone is) if he needs to leave on short notice. Jack -- Monday isn't the best day for Jack, but he will try to make it. Looking at other days, see below. This session is still preliminary. We are in a prologue phase. Introducing Players, making friends with each other for a social foundation. PC's meeting up in-world (either in Port town, or along the route from their origins). Some bits of Lore I'm giving out for each PC individually. Telling the other Players about your PC so we all recognize each other's ideas. PC origin events. Collaborating on your backstory. When attendance is incomplete (as I expect is likely for this week), we may play-out some origin scenarios for RP and playtesting your abilities. You could earn some starting XP and GP this way. EXAMPLE: Grys exits from a door in the mountainside after a lifetime living underground (and encounters surface-dwellers for his first time). Flutic's Kenku flies in from the bay to the Southeast and encounters something in the air, or sees something curious on the ground as he travels. Mithros' dog Luka gets into trouble when they get into town of Port, what happens? Anariel travels alone from the Grey Elf woods, will she be safe enough on her own or opt to seek allies? Starting Adventures like this are on-tap first. When we grow to full attendance, we'll endeavor to skip straight ahead to the time when the 4 party members actually meet each other (probably in the Port town). So we can get this train rolling. We can still go back and add more to the origins, later. Everything sound good? This outlines the plan going forward. The main idea is to play the campaign, with the party, with a nice party full of all the players. I'm so eager to get that part started, and I know of 4 players who are ready to play too. It's down to hammering-out scheduling and attendance to start playing in earnest. For any times that we can meet up between now & then, including this Monday with whoever can be here, we shall continue focusing on Origin scenarios and character set-up, getting your character moved into the Port area from your origins. There will be some new surveys, Q&A on the campaign forum. Answer when you are able. Read other people's answers. It's a good way to stay in communication between games, and get to know your party.
