Following the successful conclusion of what has been dubbed the Octavian Incident see case file II4:GP9:HT78:XED elements of the fifth fleet, and an independent Explorator fleet now occupy NV-1078 while Ordos Xenos and the Adeptus Mechanicus conducts an investigation of the Xenos artifact located in the cortex of the systems primary star. Preliminary investigation by elements of the Ordo Hereticus, Ordo Vigilus, Ordos Xenos and the Deathwatch have identified the artifact as Ghanathaar in origin. It also is believed to have ramifications on the current status of the Dark Pattern. The remains of the House Tül warrant holder are being remanded to the care of his dynasty while his flag ship is escorted back to the Calixis sector. House Tül's proscribed activities with the Jericho Reach cold trade are officially at an end. Information recovered from the House on its activities has revealed previously unknown Xenos worlds in the Reach, however many of those worlds are now inaccessible because of the Shadow in the Warp and are by the grace of the God Emperor no doubt grappling with elements of the Hive Fleet. The Ordos is quietly assembling a strike group consisting of a battle cruiser, a cruiser, two light cruisers, three destroyers, a fuel transport, and a sloop to deal with a rising power that they've been warned of by agents of both the missing Ordo Chronos and Ocularian radicals. The strike group is being outfitted for extended operations.
