Date: 10-11th Reaping, 609 CY Attendance: Clifton, Virgil ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Recap: The party comes back to the Marlgrovian Home with Gelly; Clifton has returned, though he has no recollection as to where he wandered off to. Wulrakas and Thruskk turn in for the night and Gelly sleeps on the couch near the fireplace, while Clifton and Krax play Three Dragon Ante. Jericho and Virgil watch on; Jericho nods off just before a sharp rap on the door is heard. Clifton answers it and discovers it's Mayor Milner. He wishes to speak to the group, but without Gelly present. They step outside and, after giving Clifton a book showing the births in Marlgrove over the past decade, it's revealed that Gelly might very well be Gillian 'Gilly' Gribbles -- Gribb's infant daughter who vanished some time ago. Milner tells Clifton and Virgil the story of the dreaded hags: how they snatch up infants, consume them, and then give birth to a child that becomes a hag herself on her thirteenth birthday. They deduce that there's quite some time before this will happen to Gelly, but it's unnerving nevertheless. Milner excuses himself and Kamlo appears, bringing up the subject of 'Skaulson.' He says he knows where this person might be found. He hires on Clifton and Virgil to accompany him to this mysterious location, though he wants no more than two in his party. They leave in a wagon that very night, trudging through the edge of the forest and into the plains beyond. As the sun begins to rise, the three encounter a small sheep farm. A dog approaches and barks, though Virgil calms it. A man then comes out of the house; Kamlo convinces him to let them rest for the day there, for a measly three coppers. Clifton and Virgil carry Kamlo's heavy treasure chest inside house and settle in. Kamlo immediately goes to sleep while the two casters set up their bedrolls. The farmer, Greze, notices that Kamlo has dropped something -- a map leading to "Skaulson's Rest." Greze's young wife timidly tells the two men about a powerful Necromancer named Skaulson, and of his dark tower he called home. Like every other being of note, he disappeared during the Days of Vanishing. His tower then became inaccessible. The two casters then slowly drift off to sleep. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Experience: Clifton – 2,000 XP (8,950 XP total) Jericho – 0 XP (2,995 XP total) Thruskk – 0XP (6,650 XP total) Wulrakas - 0XP (6,250 XP total) Virgil - 2,000 XP (8,850 XP total) LEVEL UP 5 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Loot: None. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Plotspiration: Thruskk -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Notes: NOBODY SHOWED UP.
