This is more of an interest check. I have wanted to run a sci fi game for a long time. Swan Song on youtube is a perfect example of the type of game i want to run. They use the Stars Without Number system, which uses 2d6 for many skill rolls. I hate that. Instead, i would use the setting for stars without numbers, but the book Star Wars d20 Roleplaying Game which is the 3.5 conversion of dnd to star wars. Instead of force things you just gut those and rename it psycic (since it is the stars without number setting). There would be a few other minor homebrewish modifications to make it work, but i have it all written down and would be happy to explain. If you want to play in a sci-fi sandbox style game that uses emergent story telling to tell stories about the player rather than narrative story telling which tells an "on-rails" story then the setting is for you --- For understanding the srtting if you are unaware, in stars without number(SWN) humans explored the galaxy from earth, nations expanded and we were the 1st to hit the stars. As we spend like, 10,000 years expanding and exploring and setting up a galactic empire, we discovered psionics. we then used the psi power with ou science to build even greaterthings. Eventually, due to use of psionics, a protective veil was damaged enough that allowed the "scream" to happen. The scream caused a backlash that killed or drove insane about 95% of the galactic populace, human or otherwise. Another 75 or so thousand years later and the planets often had to rebuild with indigenous efforts. This means that there are worlds out there stuck in 17th century tech, but they are the long descendants of colonits that lost their tech. There are worlds were robotic pre-scream AI run terminator robots endlessly, and more. Now your in a sector, FTL travel is a thing but its kinda limited still, much of the "post tech" meaning post scream tech is advanced, but not as advanced as the "pre tech".
