Streaming Campaigns

Hey guys! I assumed this would be the best location to post this. I personally love watching and listening to other people do their own campaigns (I'm an avid listener of the Roleplaying Public Radio - Actual Play podcast). I'm trying out streaming for the first time so I thought I would extend the offer to anyone on the website if they would like to check out my campaign I'm running. Of course this thread is open to anyone else interested in linking their stream! We're running from 6pm PST to usually around 10pm, sometimes later. I'd love to see more RPG streaming. If anyone knows about more of this going on regularly I'd appreciate finding out about them.

The devs stream their games regularly. go to twitchtv and search for roll20.

We stream our regular Thursday night game from 7.30 PM GMT/BST over at <a href="http://www.twitch.tv/evoroth" rel="nofollow">http://www.twitch.tv/evoroth</a> . It's nice to see others doing it too. We've just concluded our 9th session.

I'm working on trying to figure out how to update a section of the wikik about streaming. I found a free open source program that is very similar to Xsplit. It is for window pcs but it does work. I've been playing with it and my son, who is 12, has already put stuff on youtube.&nbsp; It's called&nbsp; FFsplit

Why not. &nbsp;I've been interested in starting to stream our sessions. &nbsp;We play every Friday night from 9PM to 1AM EST. This is the first time I've GM'd past 1 session. &nbsp;We're set to play the 8th session in 2 hours from the time that I'm typing this out. &nbsp;We're going to be shorthanded, but it's not too big of a deal. <a href="http://www.twitch.tv/cyborg346" rel="nofollow">http://www.twitch.tv/cyborg346</a>

FFSplit needs a lot of work until I use it again. I recommend Open Broadcast Software . It's free like FFSplit, but it's better and easier to use without the crashing issues FFSplit sometimes has.

I was looking at that also but was not sure about what it was. So it works the same way pretty much? Thanks for the tip.

Yeah I just swapped over to OBS from Xsplit. My audio quality was terrible but it sounds awesome now on OBS. Look forward to less terrible audio quality stream this Saturday :P haha

I'm glad I could help out. OBS has been good to me, so I wanted to share it.

Played with it for a while and it is very impressive. A little more learning curve than ffsplit but seems to run better.

I have the approval of my players to stream, so I'm going to advertise. First game will be broadcast on Twitch.tv .&nbsp; It will be on Friday around 12pm PST (tomorrow). Newbie players and a newbie DM in a Dungeon and Dragons 4e adventure with lots of flavor and story. Join us for this interesting ride.&nbsp; Yeah...if it's anything like last Friday's test game, it will be fun.

We Walked in Darkness is up for another game in about an hour. More Bindo moments probably and a change. Every Friday around 12pm PST.

Starting thursday (6/27/13) at 10:30pm est (-5 gmt) I'll be streaming my campaign. &nbsp;This will start from the very beginning during character creation. &nbsp;We are going to play 2e dnd, but many things are houseruled/dumbed down to make it very basic, to make roleplaying more prevalent instead of relyiung heavily on mechanics. &nbsp;Hope to see you there; twitch.tv/papageorgiosc

With streaming I suppose you have to watch your sound-quality from all participants, avoid extraneous background noises, and avoid all but the most choice puns and gamer humour. I had some audio issues last week (I'll see to fix it this week), but We Walked in Darkness is still going on.&nbsp; This week the trial of the supposed crimes our "heroes" committed.&nbsp; Will my players throw me another curve ball and totally change the direction of the story?&nbsp; We'll see.
