Chat in Popup Window

Description: Allowing the chat window to be placed into a pop up window that can be resized or placed in a second monitor to free up map real estate. Usecase; Due to the heavy amount of text/use of the Chat window for RP, macros and the like, the current layout makes chat hard to follow. Allowing it to be resized and separated from the main UI would help in a more clean layout and a more scannable chat interface.
I have been wanting this for a while. Honestly it seems like Roll20 is mainly only usable for voice/video chat. I have a group that relies heavily on text chatting and in our first game we found it INCREDIBLY difficult to follow what everyone was doing because when one would post another person would post at the same time pushing the other persons post out of the way. I would like the ability to move the text box to the bottom of the screen, it gives everyone a longer set of lines to use instead of it be bunched onto the side.
Completely agree with you Master_GM. Much of how my party plays remotely is in the same fashion where chat is heavy for RP/OOC as voice isn't usually a realistic way to track questions/RP. Add in the chat window is the location where all /em, whispers and macros fall, I notice I'm spending a lot of time scrolling backwards trying to find things I missed.
My group also uses chat for RP, so having the chat window customization along with more robust tools like embedding rolls and emotes gets my vote.
Whilst I'm loving the video and voice, my roots are in text chat based VTs so would love to see this too. Some of my best RP moments have been with chat based VTs, it just wouldn't have been the same if I heard/saw the 20 stone male gorilla playing a young female archaeologist!!!
