Dynamic Lighting Distance Issue

I've been working on quite a large map, and just put the finishing touches on the dynamic lighting barriers, etc. However, when I went to see what it looked like as a player, I noticed something strange when I zoomed out: It seems like there is a circular limit to the dynamic lighting barriers. For the first 300~ feet - no problem. Past that limit, for some reason I could see the map. I tried turning on Fog of War to hide the inconveniently revealed areas, but when I switched back to player-view, for some reason the GM opacity hadn't gone to full black and I could still see the same areas (albeit dimmer) The only way I found to negate the problem is to turn the opacity all the way to full. Unfortunately, that meant I couldn't see anything more than the players. BTW, I confirmed that the light was penetrating the barriers but putting a small box around the token I was using for testing. Again, within 300~ feet perfect, outside of that... interesting. Is this a known issue? Am I missing something?

Hi Noam, there shouldn't be any limits/boundary to DL on the map. If you post or screen cap of your map settings, from FoW down, we might be able to better help. Btw, a GM can see thru FoW no matter the opacity level, while players can't. Ctrl+l isn't always the best indicator of what a token sees. Try rejoining as a player or use another account to test. Edit: I was mistaken about FoW. You can adjust the opacity to black so it looks exactly like what the players see.

Naom, are you the only one experiencing this effect or is it your players as well?

Steve, our first session is actually tomorrow night, so I'll let you know once they log on. I know that I still experience the issue when I "rejoin as player". After playing around with it, a little more, I've noticed a few more things: It has now happened on both OS X and Windows, on two separate machines. (Though running chrome with both, haven't tried firefox). It seems to be affected by zooming in and out, i.e. the problem only occurs past a certain point on the zoom slider - starting about midway to the farthest point. Fog of War seems to be hiding the issue effectively now - I'm fairly certain I haven't done anything differently. The problem still persists, however, when FoW is disabled.

I've been able to replicate the problem and I'll look into what's causing it.

This should now be fixed.
Cool - thanks! Just out of curiosity, what was the issue?

A bug with the way our dynamic lighting handled large radiuses.
