After fleeing a safe distance from Desna's Redoubt, the party regroups. Arthas offers to put in a good word for Arueshalae with the Knights of the Pale, so that she will be allowed in town. Arueshalae is thankful, but she suggests that the argument would be more eaisly made if she could demonstrate her commitment to the cause. In fact, the succubus has an idea regarding that demonstration. She knows the location of the Ivory Sanctum, the headquarters for the Templars of the Ivory Labyrinth. From this site, Baphomet's minions have been distributing Nahyndrian elixirs to their allies. These potent concoctions have the ability to grant Mythic Power; they were the source of power for the mythic enemies that the party has encountered. Attacking the Sanctum will disrupt the supply of Nahyndrian elixir , striking a mighty blow against Baphomet's forces. Furthermore, the templars are likely to have valuable intelligence regarding the broader Abyssal operations. After some discussion, it is decided that the party will split up. Arthas and Hubris will return to Anestral City to report to King Rail and prepare the Knights for Arueshalae's presence. The rest of the party will set out immediately for the Ivory Sanctum. Using wind walk , the companions manage to make it to the Sanctum in record time, though they do stop to rest (and fight a few Time Elementals) along the way. The headquarters is hidden behind an illusory wall at the bottom of a rift, but Arueshalae knows its exact location. Under the cloak of both invisibility and silence , the heroes approach. Lor and Nor scout ahead. Unfortunately, the sanctum itself is protected by some type of invisibility purge effect. As soon as the halflings pass through the illusory wall, they are revealed to the minotaur guards at the entrance. Lor and Nor quickly retreat to the ravine, dropping the silence effect and yelling at their comrades not to follow through. While the minotaurs do not follow, these yells attract the attention of the entrance's other guardian. A massive, six-legged reptile burst forth from the canyon wall. Suddenly, Arueshalae turns to stone, for this is a basilisk, whose baleful gaze can petrify with a glance. The rest of the party attacks, their eyes diverted, and the beast is soon defeated. Having dealt with the basilisk, the party regroups (restoring Arueshalae) and renews their attack on the Sanctum. Nor disables the porticulus that the minotaurs have dropped, Elaryan dispels the illusry wall, and a massive melee ensues. After a few minutes, the minotaurs have been defeated, and the Ivory Sanctum lies open. Everyone who played gains 2,000 XP.
