Male Sith-Species (Emperor Vitiete Era) 25 Time Period: Old Republic Era You're Good at?..: 1Albel is a young Sith Sorcerer that doesn't particularly care for the various Jedi-Sith conflicts seeing them as ultimately meaningless. 2 He can be best described by the quote "The power to make another do tricks is an empty and banal form of power. True Power comes from knowledge and the ability to decide your own fate." 3 He's typically very soft-spoken and can be polite to the point that it sometimes infuriates others. 4 Given a choice, he spends most of his time searching for ancient Sith/Jedi archives and tombs, hoping to find some trace of real information on the true nature of the Force and those connected to it. 5 Despite being mostly oriented towards use of the Force, Albel takes great pleasure in studying and adapting technologies to suit his whims. He likens it to the Force itself as a means to control one's own destiny. 6 As far as relationships go, he had a rather tepid apprenticeship to Darth Marnoc who found his "Disgusting level of dispassion for the war effort" offensive and continually banished him to assist the Imperial Reclamation Service because he was too useful as a researcher and sorcerous ace in the hole to kill outright. 7 Within the IRS, he rose quickly due to a combination of not treating his associates like slaves and cannon fodder and having a rather good head for actually getting into tombs through tactics that didn't include "Throw imperial bodies at the problem until it resolves itself" as was more common in the other Sith of the era. 8 The closest thing he could call to a true friend is Margaret Sinclair, a fellow enthusiast for all things occult. They'd spent the last few years together and had pulled each other out of more than one deadly situation. Goals 1: Learn the secrets of the Force, perhaps finding a way to combine it with technology like the ancient Rakata did. 2: Find a way to resurrect the Sith as a species or find survivors in the modern galaxy 3: Spread "proper" Sith philosophy in the galaxy. Not the destructively violent aspect, rather the conqueror seeking mastery over life part that tends to be ignored in favor of trying to control the freedom of others. 4 Albel has a lot of growing to do and he tends to be quietly dismissive of dissenting opinions. I'd like to see him become more open to the philosophies of others without necessarily losing touch with his own. Secrets: 1 Well, he's Sith in a galaxy that hates and fears them so that's one thing. 2 Another is that he doesn't really fit with mainstream ( puts on hipster glasses ) Sith philosophy so if another bumped into him he might kill him on general principle once he opens his mouth. 3 Honestly not sure how to do a "Secret that involves him that he doesn't know yet" without carrying it into snowflake land so maybe you can help me with that later. Well, his master would probably be trying to kill him at some point down the road but that goes without saying. Because, y'know... Sith. Character Ties: 1 Darth Marnoc: Disgusted with his apprentice's more gentle and contemplative nature and weary of his growing influence within the IRS Marnoc has begun setting things in motion that will bring Albel more thoroughly under his control. 2 Margaret Sinclair (Mentioned above) 3 Lord Sarn. His Sith superior in the IRS. Sarn is his master in all but title and has inducted Albel into various sorcerous secrets in exchange for accelerating his own rise to power within the order. Mannerisms: 1 As said above, he's very soft-spoken and polite. 2 When it comes to secrets of the Force or new technologies he can become quietly obsessed to the point of being outright hostile if abruptly pulled away from his newest interest. 3 The most important thing he keeps in mind is how often the Sith fall to their own darkness. He intends to avoid that fate by examining his actions and searching for the reasons behind them. Easy note: Albel Nahehm is a talented Sith sorcerer with a penchant for technology. He tends to have a subdued manner, preferring to exercise his Freedom by simply doing what he likes to do rather than going about trying to control others. When he does get embroiled in external conflicts he tends to seek the most expedient way possible to excuse himself from it unless doing so will bar him from achieving his goals. He's curious and rarely aggressive but can be provoked if forcibly removed from his areas of interest. Alicia G Mentor Permalink form now that you've submitted your concept. It shouldn't take more than a couple minutes to complete. Kenneth E. I'll need to find it in the books, but as I recall the main difference was like a -2 wisdom and +2 intelligence or something. I'll be sure to get it to you here later today. Kenneth E. They look almost human in SWTOR, not so much here in Knights of the Old Republic Campaign Guide pg 17) Alicia G Mentor Permalink Quote I've been doing my own research and looks like a lot of GMs are using the rules for Near Humans in Unknown Regions to create the Sith Pure Blood race.
