[Shadowrun 5th edition] GM looking to form an online group

Hello there chummers, I'm a GM, looking to form an online gaming group. We'd be using Roll20 and Skype for communications. My strong preference would be to find a fellow GM, so we can alternate runs / storylines, and both of us get to play, too. Aside from that, I have a preference for people aged 35+, with experience in prior editions of the game (which helps with knowledge of the setting). Min/maxers not particularly welcome, and I'd be happy to help making characters that fit your character concept within reason. To reiterate: I am not looking for people new to Shadowrun, sorry. Feel free to send me a PM with any questions. Kind regards, Makarion PS 1. Exact setting would be discussed with my fellow GM(s), once we've got a volunteer :). PS 2. We'd be playing at a fixed time and day of the week, to be decided. My home timezone is EST, but I'm fairly flexible, as long as we can stick to a fixed schedule. PS 3. This is not going to be a "missions" type game, but preferably a mix of one-off runs and longer storylines.
So, let's see... I'll start with the negative qualties: - I'm not native english speaker, but as long as the group speaks somewhat BBC-english'ish and can bear my accent it should be fine - no/zero/nada experience with roll20 (but learning how to /roll Xd6>5 doesn't sound too difficult) - no playing experience with 5th edition - CET/CEST (GMT+1/ 6hours later than EST) Not yet disqualified? Ok, read on then :) I'm 29years old, so not exactly meeting your age criteria. Played various P&P RPGs since the age of 13, played D&D3/3.5 in the past and had my powergaming/min-max-ing needs or phase satisfied and left it behind. Played mostly nWoD/V:tR & no-dice settings in my last active P&P years, thus would consider myself a storytelling/roleplaying kind of player, who thinks of a system as a supplement, not the main focus of a RPG. I played Shadowrun 3rd Edition, GMed a street-gutter campaign. I loved (and still do) the setting, but disliked the system to be honest. But 5th edition seems to be way more streamlined and got rid of most the stutter-causing numbercrunching. I don't consider myself capable of GMing right now, due to lack of experience with the system, roll20 app and lack of vocabulary to colour a whole world. I could make myself available on evening under the week (noon EST), more flexible on the weekends. I think of individual runners as tiny screw in a huge machinery dominated by Cons, they are expandable, unimportant and no one cares for them ('cept their local clique/friends/landlord). While an indivdual run might change the world, runners shouldn't feel like the center of the world, this isn't epic level kingdom slaying D&D after all. So if you're of the opinion drinking best buddy with a great dragon, playing chess with a free spirit and sharing a flat with an immortal elf is common for a shadowrun campaign, PLEASE leave me out (had some bad experiences with this powerlevel/setting :D) I'd love to hear from you, beeing either positiv or negative, or even on-hold dependent on the groups timezones end up. Skype/mail information is available in PM, if the urge arises. - Demi
