So, recently, we've been deciding what could be considered a Wondrous item in R&R. For all you non-D&Ders, a wondrous item is a rare, one-of-a-kind artifact with a special effect. Seeing as we have no magic, we were wondering what we could use. We have come up with a couple, and the thing is, they are insane, ridiculous, and totally crazy. I.E. - The wondrous items in R&R are made to make no sense at all. For anyone still a little confused, a Wondrous Item would be something like a Bag of Holding - A small bag with TARDIS-esque proportions inside. I will be publishing a list of Wondrous Items as and when the party find them, but I don't have many ideas! So, my proposition - And this goes to the players too - is that you post ideas here. If you know how to write an item effect, it would be welcomed, otherwise, just give the gist of what it does, and I may turn it into some crazy find. A couple of rules for Wondrous Items: Wondrous Items can never be weapons. They may deal damage in a round-a-bout way, but are never weapons. They must be leveled - They can be obscenely overpowered, yes, but all items will be equated to an average level of the party. They may or may not have limited uses - Some effects may only be able to be exploited a certain amount of times. Others may have an effect that gives them a chance to destroy themselves with every use. There can only be one - Of each wondrous item, of course. What would be so wondrous, then? The One Ring is always a valid suggestion. Other than this, go wild! I look forward to hearing your suggestions. SUGGESTION FORMAT [ITEM NAME] Item Type (E.G, Consumable, Tool, Armour etc...) Item Flavor - A brief description of the item. Item Effect (Can be done in D&D terminology if possible) CURRENT LIST OF ACCEPTED ITEMS: Reaper Eye (Effects Pending) Motivational Clarkson V.I. - This V.I. was created from synthesized clips from an old TV star from many years ago. It was meant to improve motivation, and it did... until the user started missing.
