Date: 15th Reaping, 609 CY Attendance: Clifton, Wulrakas, Thruskk "Greedmeister King" - Art by Gyrocoptor ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Recap: The party resumes where they left off in the room with the giant skull. Jericho has vanished completely, nowhere to be found; Virgil, meanwhile, is in a bit of a daze. Inexplicably Clifton's shadow seems to reach out towards Virgil, strangling him and causing him to fall into a deep, torpor-like state. Whether this was just a trick of the eyes or whether Clifton's shadow actually did this is unknown. Down two party members, the group begins to investigate the room. Clifton determines that the markings on the ground are used in demon/devil-summoning rituals. He then examines the table where he finds information pertaining to demi-liches, as well as a lever beneath the table. He pulls this to reveal a trap door leading to the roof. On the roof they find Skaulson -- or rather, Skaulson's spirit. Dialogue is exchanged which suggests that Skaulson committed suicide in order to avoid a cataclysmic event; Clifton later deduces that this event was the Days of Vanishing. Clifton then asks about the green dragon and the green dragon's child; Skaulson knows of Aramanthyn, but only that it was a pretty typical green dragon found deep within the Dreadwood. Some more deduction reveals that the previous burglars, who arrived a few days prior (and who had entered the tower through the roof), stole Skaulson's tome pertaining to dracoliches. This is the only flimsy clue the party has to go on -- that and an order from one burglar to the other, to "head to Salinmoor to begin the experiments." The party says their farewells to Skaulson, and Skaulson permits them to return anytime. He vanishes and the group returns the the Sleeping Marid, dragging the comotose Virgil along with them. Inside the Marid, they tell the patrons that the tower is empty (as instructed by Skaulson).
