I doubt my schedule would allow me to play, but for those who would like to play a story based, super hero game, there is one system that is th best system I have ever seen. Cortex Plus, also known as the Smallville RPG. There is also a marvel book for the Cortex Plus system but I only used the Smallville one so that is the one I can talk about. 1. You don't have to play the Smallville setting. The game I was involved in had NOTHING to do with Smallville or DC in general. It was a homebrew world and the Smallville book allows you to custom build your character. 2. You can have people of every power level participate and contribute equally. This is because this system is not a physics engine, it is a story telling game. The mechanics are built in such a way that the players
tells a compelling story. To use your abilities(Either
tech/magic/alien/whatever), you have to spend a plot point. You earn
plot points by either crit failing or purposely giving your character
disadvantage. For example a character who is built on being awesome with
guns can earn a plot point by having the character running out of ammo.
The player might do this so that they can then spend that point to activate their acrobat skill. The result is a story where the gun slinger is in a desperate
situation, running for his life, out of ammo that at the end crashes out a window and acrobats his way down window ledges to escape( AKA something awesome)
