Date: 15th Reaping, 609 CY Attendance: Clifton, Wulrakas, Thruskk, Jericho (partially) "Thruskk's Easter Egg Hunt" - Art by Gyrocoptor ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Recap: Jericho returns from the unknown, never explaining where he went. He sits down next to Clifton while the warlock recounts what happened in Skaulson's Tower. Jericho looks for someone knowledgeable on the subject of where "Salinmoor" might be, and he learns that it's the province to the southwest. An elderly Baklunish man then enters, claiming to have seen a bizarre statue that has appeared out of nowhere. Curious, the party follows him west. They come across a small field of dead grass (surrounded by much more lush, healthy fields), an abandoned shack, and -- strangest of all -- a statue of a bizarre beast. It looks to be an anthropomorphic rabbit with the face of a toad. Large indentations are placed on the pedestal it stands on, and Clifton's the first to find a strange colored stone shaped like an egg. He places it in one indentation. Later, after all six stones are collected, the statue speaks. It asks if they wish to awaken the NightHARE. Clifton accidentally agrees. The statue crumbles, revealing a toad-creature with a pink rabbit suit literally sewn into its body. When the Baklunish guide tries to flee, Thruskk hits him with his sword and renders him unconscious. The NightHARE then finishes him off with two blasts of fire, killing him on the second and causing the dead grass beneath him to catch ablaze. A fight then ensues, culminating with the NightHARE "self destructing." A fireball descends on the party and the NightHARE, killing the beast but only injuring the party. A pink bag falls out of its belly. Thruskk snatches it up and the party flees back to the Marid's Slumber. Once inside, they realize that the bag is magical and that it's filled with coins. Unfortunately, the coins are chocolate -- albeit very delicious chocolate. Thruskk tries to peddle the chocolate coins to the same man he sold his crown to (and who still wears said crown), but Clifton botches his attempt to help and a fisticuffs fight ensues between the Warlock and the merchant.
