I just got a yearly $5 subscription for the DL and LoS functions, and I've been adding walls to the "Old Fishery" map for Pathfinder's Curse of the Crimson Throne adventure path. The Old Fishery has two levels across two parts of the map, and there are a few balconies and a boat. The upper level of the boat is exposed to the sun, but the lower level is not. It is the only part of the map that would be dark, so I would rather not have to disable Global Illumination and place little suns everywhere. Hence the idea of Roofs. By creating walls and designating the inside as a roofed area, it would be ignored when rendering light, effectively creating a shadowed effect. This would be useful in many situations. As an added bonus, I'd like to be able to designate balconies via one-way walls, so characters on the balcony could see down, but others could not see up. Eventually, it would be nice to be able to designate a wall's elevation, so characters on balconies at the same height would be able to see each other, but the one-way walls would be fine for now. Probably easier to implement, truthfully. I apologize if this idea was already suggested. Just comment a link to it and close this thread.
