Is it possible to increase the size of the bars on tokens?

They're showing up as really small on the campaign I'm running and I was wondering if there's a way to change their visual size

Not currently, but I believe there are some suggestions about this.

There is not a setting for this. It can be changed in a way. The size is sort-of a function of the size of your tokens, and relates to the size of your grid also. What grid settings are you using under Page Settings? When you use a grid size that's less than 1, like grid size .5, this tends to make some of the features around the token appear to have strange sizes. Also are you having Tokens take up a full square of your grid, or have you resized/scaled the tokens to smoosh them down? The main wiki docs page for this subject is, https://wiki.roll20.net/Token_Features Here are 3 Suggestions related to changing / adjusting the behavior of this: Scale bars and status icons with token size https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1449833/scale-ba... Tokens take up a full square of the grid. I have the grid set to quarter size, with each unit representing 20 feet. I originally had grid size set to 1 unit with each unit representing 5 feet, but it caused the virtual tabletop to lag too much when loading the area I currently have the players in, a small town.

Yeah, sorry about the difficulties. That gets to the heart of the issue. It's the 1/4 grid size. Unfortunately the bad sizing of bars / names / and token handles / and distance of the bubbles, is a drawback of using fractional grid sizes, the way Roll20 currently works. As mentioned above hopefully some of the Suggestions will be implemented to fix this, eventually. I've tried grid sizes like you are using. It makes sense for an outdoor area sized like a town, small forest, wilderness area. It's not your typical 3.5/Pathfinder/ Battle-mat grid size (that works so well on Roll20). The grid size you described is more of a battlefield / war-game / wilderness exploration scale, and Roll20 grid features could be improved for Token vector features on this kind of grid scale. There may be workarounds or other techniques (such as not using the bars, but using some other kinds of indicators and tracker methods instead). Feel free to keep asking about it & hopefully someone else will come along with new tips.

Are you using Hex grid or square grid? Only hex grid has been known to cause lag when there are a lot of units. Square grid should not ever cause any perceptible lag. We could possibly try troubleshooting the lag problem if you decide to go back to trying the "large scale" grid again (the zoomed-in grid, the 5-feet squares instead of 20 feet with 1/4 grid).

I tried re-sizing this world, but all the stuff ON it like the map and tokens stayed the same size, and there doesn't appear to be a way to mass scale a selection of many objects by a coefficient. I tried switching to map layer and selecting the whole map, then clicking the 'Set Dimensions' option, but that only changed ONE of the things I had selected. I also tried using Set Dimensions on the map one object at a time, but it only resized them, didn't move them to their proper places on the map. Is there any way I can re-size the area and re-size everything to match the area at the same time? Or even just any way to re-size everything in the area by a coefficient? I re-sized the area and changed the grid size, changed how many feet each unit represents, etc, but then the houses are like 10 feet wide, and the people were the size of toes.

Unfortunately you'd probably have to resize each object one-at-a-time, or, just wait til your next map & try starting with the 5-foot size next time. The only way to resize multiple things at the same time (maybe), would be select all the objects, Right-Click > Advanced > GROUP the objects. Then try resizing the group. I'm afraid it won't work perfectly though, Grouped objects often wiggle around and don't come out in the exact same positions after moving them. I really hope someone else will come along to give tips in this thread, who has experience in this area. I'll add this, the undesirable bar-size issue is less, the closer you go to 1-Unit-Grid. So 1/4 grid is the problem you've seen. 1/2 grid is a little better. Grid of .75 is better still. Maybe try making an experimental map of 3/4 grid, and see if you like the look of a token on that. Regarding the square-grid-that-lagged issue... If you experience that again, raise a new thread and we will troubleshoot that. I suspect it wasn't the grid that caused a lag. Maybe something else (large amount of PNG graphics, PNG with transparency, is known to cause lag particularly on older computers, for a leading example). You can make a really really big square grid without adding lag.
