Date: 15th Reaping, 609 CY Attendance: Clifton, Virgil, Wulrakas, Thruskk, Jericho (partially) "Now in Gyrocolor™" - Art by Gyrocoptor ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Recap: While the rest of the party was out fighting the NightHARE , Virgil finds himself employed by a local dog breeder -- Amos -- whose pets were killed by a Manticore. Virgil then slays the beast, skins it, and returns to Skaulson's Rest to regroup with the party. After selling the Manticore pelt to a grizzled war veteran, almost everyone (excluding Thruskk and the ever-vanishing Jericho) agree to help carry the pelt to the man's barge on the Sheldomar River. Once there, however, the man attacks without warning. What proceeds is... Well, needless to say it's not pretty. The man eventually surrenders for reasons unknown, but claims his attack was due to his hatred of adventurers. He then vaguely references his time spent in the war of Onnwal some decades past. Leaving behind his sword, which he fumbled, the man heads south... but not before informing the party that the barge was not his, and that he found it abandoned with blood nearby. The party then leaves the Manticore pelt on the barge and returns to the Slumbering Marid, reuniting with Thruskk and Jericho.
